Power Enterprise Install: SHEZHOT
tiny update no positive yet
But we are moving all the electrics from Nick's 03 track z into our 04 z.........all the info was wiped and will be reprogrammed for our keys.
So cros fingers that she will be cranking and running by Saturday.

Hopefully everything turns out good for you and its up and running on saturday. My question is why wouldn't you take it to a reputable shop on here? You are in the area of some of the best installers and tuners (Sharif at FP and Jeremy at PF). They work on Z's all the time. The shop pictures look like a roofing company with a truck lift in the bay. I would prefer to see a shop with other Z's sitting around being worked on or waiting for work. Just my humble opinion. But as I said, good luck.

I am sure you have your reasons, but I would've prefer to take it to a Z tuner. It doesn't matter how long you been a mechanic, every car is different and you cant be a pro at all makes of cars. Unlike Forged and PF they specialize in the VQ. I think if you would've sent your car to one of these shops, you would've been rocking your car a Zdays. Keep in mind you still have start this thing, and dyno tune it and then road tune it. I hope you the best, and hope your on the road soon.

Sharif may have been book solid when she needed it done.. though sometimes going with the better shop is worth the wait so you don't have to get things done twice.. but hey.. when you want it done you want it done
good luck. i already told you what i think about nicks shop. his had the car for 3 months now, thats emberassing considering all the other shops are doing it in 1 week. but ur choise. hope u get her soon

Nice 3rd post. I agree with you 100%.

Hopefully your car is up and running soon. What engine management are you going to be using?
well theres a long story to.....so there is a reason it has taken this long.
yes it is all very unfortunate and yes there is a big reason we had him do the install. The time has nothing to do with his skills of installing. the kit has been on for about 2 months. THe main reason we dont have it yet all has to do with the computer system being fried and all the hours of trouble shooting every solution to figure out why it did work after tadashi worked on the ecm.
So please stop sh1ti talking on my friend about the whole situation. There is only a total of 4 ppl including myself that know the whole story.

Hello...thanks Zilvia, rrmedic, and Wespack for the support.
The TT has been in since Late April, early May. The whole "problem" happened when the capacitor aka CAP (yes, I have one for my stereo) discharged into the car and fried something. It was as if lightning struck my car.
Nick suspected the wiring harness and went through every connection and the ECU. Unfortunately he ended up taking the harness and ECU from his 2003 Z and put it into my car (Tadashi reflashed it).
The NATS, keys, etc. have been reprogrammed for my car now and have been installed. The codes the car was throwing aren't present (others are though), yet....it won't crank. So Nick has the manuals from 2003-05 (my car is a 2004.5) and will dedicate this weekend to exploring all the other wiring systems that may connect into the system that communicates to the coils. It's a loss of signal after the ECU to the coils.
Nick's shop is a one car garage (as well as his home) and yes it has roofing materials in it because it's a rental unit and that stuff belongs to the owner (a good shop isn't based on looks....like a good man/woman isn't based on them).
Also, his customers bring their race cars to him, the car in his shop (that's been there for a minute) belongs to the guy who works with him and I can imagine he does his own work.
I'm pleased with my decision to use Nick and have every confidence that he will find the issue with my electronics and have the car running. As for time frame I'm in no real rush. My next event is ZCON and I have a daily driver already.
The pre-judging here is why I've not posted up. SHEZHOT's story is complicated enough without having to defend Nick and his work.
I'll post up again when it's complete.
Below are Nick's race car (Daytona Blue) and the car (Redline) he helped to tune and co-drove in the Koni Cup challenge in January 2007:

Thanks for the votes of confidence.
To clear up some things: Pam's computer threw a very strange and unexplainable code after coming back from Technosquare, where prior to going, it was fine. It had to do with battery backup feed to the ecu being cut off. It made no sense (it is not as easy to explain away as you would think, so don't bother).
Anyway, the plan was always to try to swap out the 2004.5 computer and put in a 2003, along with another known good engine wiring harness, since we hand checked every wire and connector on Pam's harness and could fine no anomolies, and after exhaustive electronic diagnostics testing could find no problems with her harness. We wanted to be sure we had not missed something by doing the switch.
After the switch, the problem remains exactly the same. We simply had to reprogram the Nissan Anti-Theft System (NATS) to communicate with Pam's car and keys, and there are NO codes present.
This rules out the wiring that we dealt with, as well as the ECM conclusively, and means that the problem is within some other wiring/system of the car. I have three people going through wiring diagrams from 2003, 2004, 2004.5, and 2005, taking into account what we know, to try to localize the spot that would cause the series of symptoms we've observed. Nissan North America's tech section continues to be involved, because this is quite an intriguing situation and they wish to gain the knowledge once the issue is identified and is overcome.
I still am partly of the opinion that it is going to be a simple thing that will become glaringly obvious once we run across it, but of course, we have to check every part and piece, and go through all of the motions involved in electrical component fault diagnosis.
Pam also disclosed in our most recent conversation that there were some electrical gremlins popping up on her car long before we did the turbos, which adds a new twist to the story, though it is unclear whether any of that has an influence on what we are experiencing...
The gremlins he speaks of is that my AC would cut on or go hot all itself. Happened once or twice but not enough for me to get it looked at....

Wow Pam.
I caught onto all of this late. I had no idea you went to FI'land.
I truly hope all goes well for you on this. I cringed when I saw the whole motor pulled as all of this is so alien to me and my first turbo install went so smoothly (knocks on wood).
I hope that you will one day (very soon) enjoy the bliss of boost as it is an amazing experience.
