so today we got a new belt on.. about 3/4" shorter I think...
and got up to almost .55 bar I think it's almost 8psi.. with the 3.12 pulley, is this normal?
my mods are: Stillen TD exhaust and everything else is stock it's a manual also...
what do u guys think I should expect of hp numbers?
the dyno read 248hp with everything stock before the installations began..
thanks in advance jeff.. lol

3.12 is like 8psi give or take. I think some people might get it up to 9psi but it varies from car to car and conditions.
see if you can log the boost so we can see if it's slipping up top. remember a new belt will stretch quickly so you'll hvae to adjust it after about 100 miles then again at 500 miles. i would say a few dyno runs and it might loosen up and need to have another 1/2 turn of the tensioner to stay tight.
glad to hear it's working...lots of times it's a simple problem.
probably gonna be mid 300's give or take. 325-375. depending dyno, car, conditions, etc.

napa will carry them but i think they use a different part number. that amazon one is cheaper than napa if you can wait for shipping.

Maxmood, that's way too long imo.
What pulley and with GTM pulley mod?
Try 1/2 short or 1" short belt and see if that makes diff. No worry tho, belt numbers are just giving an idea where to start. Some people may need little shorter or little longer than other members. ( Somehow )

ya, do you guys have the pulley mod?
I literally couldn't pry the 79" belt on there with a pry bar. i have tons left to tighten on my 80 1/8" belt.
pulley mod took extra belt to fit.

i just swapped from a 2.87" pulley to a 3.12" pulley and had to play around with belts. some more data points:
new 79.5" belt works for 2.87 with GTM pulley
used (ie. stretched) 79.5" belt works for 3.12 with GTM pulley (just barely though)
new 80-1/8" to 80-3/8" belts work for 3.12 with GTM pulley

Some advice needed
-------------------------------
Currently running a 2.87 pulley which makes me 420whp @n 12psi on orisis. The tuner is holding the power back too as my car just wants to keep making power. I am running Str8dum1's old kit which is an SI trim impeller and 600cc injectors with a return to tank fuel system
So having lived with the car for about 1 month in its current state i am looking to get a bigger pulley and reduce the boost to get better fuel consumption and less power to achieve a more reliable car.
Do i keep my belt and get a 3.12 pulley or do i get a new belt and a 3.33 pulley?
I am pretty sure if i dropped to a 3.33 pulley my tuner could still get me 380whp which would be perfect. But if you guys think that's not achievable then maybe i should go for a 3.12 pulley

Maxmood, that's way too long imo.
What pulley and with GTM pulley mod?
Try 1/2 short or 1" short belt and see if that makes diff. No worry tho, belt numbers are just giving an idea where to start. Some people may need little shorter or little longer than other members. ( Somehow )

i'm running 2.87 pulley with no GTM pulley.
i don't see dust on the pulley, but the belt can really twist over 90 degrees (probs 100 degrees). and i think that's probably the cause of having a low boost.
i'm gonna try to find something shorter than that (k060790, like binder suggested) or even shorter.

should i consider 79" belt?
