Are you going to install the injectors then take it Church? I'm not sure if you can drive the car without a tune and 600 injectors in it....

What I did was take my car beforehand to Church and have them install Osiris and a base map for the bigger injectors in my car....then I switched to the oem injector map when I drive home, and then switched to the new injector map after I installed my bigger injectors then drove it in for the full tune...

I was able to get my hands on a base map to get me from home to Church's, with the 600cc's installed. At that point, I'll go ahead and have them clean up the maps and get it dialed in.

i've been reading on and off of this thread; finally got mine installed and tuned however it doesnt really sound like the G35 on the first page.

On my car, it sounds louder also at idel the car kind of shakes; does anyone know the cause of the problem? i'm afraid something bad will happen becasue it doesn't seem right even though its been tuned and inspected.

lastly something new happened the car makes a lot of vibrating sound when i turn on the a/c without the car on, not how it used to be

help please?

Do you install yourself or shop? Is it tuner or complete kit?

not sure if it's the cause, but did you raise the idle? IIRC, the vortech needs a slightly higher idle to alleviate the 'rattling' associatied with the vortech @ idle.

BUT...i'm sure i'm way off here as well.

If it still idles at 650rpms like stock then the gears in the super charger will rattle and shake. When you use the a/c it loads the engine more which makes the rattling worse. usually increasing the idle to around 800rpms fixes that rattle. Switching to a smaller pulley will also spin the gears faster at idle and reduce the gear noise.

I had this rattle too. But once my idle was increased it all went away. Now it sits at 850rpm and no noise except for the BPV.

When I spoke with Binder regarding headers, he educated me as to why they're a bad investment...without even going into how much of a PITA they are to install.

Sell the headers and go with either an exhaust or upgraded oil cooler

Without cams stay away from headers and get some Art tp's or an aftermarket.

any dyno results from members with the 3.12 pulley. my car got tune 2 days ago uprev-Osiris and i think there's sow thing wrong on it. made 330whp temp was a little hot 101 degrees and about 60% humidity.
mods. 6manual tran.
v2 vortech. 3.12 pulley made 7psi
test pipes, stillen dual exhaust
pletnum spacer.
all this was on a 91 octane.

2003 350z Touring 6 speed, 93 Octane

Back on 2004, My car made 394whp on a DJ, with V2 SC-trim Vortech with 3.12 (9-10psi) and everything else stock, after tuning.

Stock Vortech kit, with 3.33 (7-8 psi), made 324whp on a DJ, No Tuning, Everything Else Stock.

can you post a dyno sheet? so many variables it is hard to say anything. Could be a really low dyno reading but with only 7psi of boost the hp sounds about right. Now just to figure out why it was only 7psi of boost on 3.12 pulley. Usually it is higher than that.

Anyone have trouble clearance on the stock radiator fan?
Shop suggest me get a thin aftermarket one, but I though stock would work just fine?

It fits with plenty of clearance but it's a real pain to get in place properly. When getting it into place it is a really tight fit but once it is in the proper location it has plenty of room between the engine and the fans.

i believe some people have had to trim the [top of the] shroud to provide clearance with the pipe coming out of the blower. you should still be able to make everything fit with the stock fans though.

sorry guys haven't been hable to upload a pic of the dyno I don't have a resource to a computer I've been using my phone to log in. so far I found a crack on my kinetix V+ intake pletnum (don't ever buy it it's not worth the 300) so I replaced it with my oem on and now I've been seen close to 10psi on my gauge and the weather it's been around 110 degrees since I live in the desert but so far my car feels better even though I'm gonna have to get re-tune since I'm getting more psi. tomorrow in gonna be working on the custom idler pulley for the belt slip I don't think I have one but just in case I do.

what I did for a better and easier install, I took of the fans and coolant reservoir. I put them back when everything was in place.
