I want to go ahead and say this whole ordeal has been a PITA thus far...We need to remove the oil squirters, however you NEED to utilize a hex head "SET Screw" that sits flush with the block, or the rod bolts only clear by 10 thousandths.. However the thread pitch we need are a very uncommon one..Brian Crower sent us 12x.25x12 mm screws, and the thread we need is way finer that that..I am beginning to wonder if Brian Crower has even done one of these motors yet
I honestly am starting to get angry with having to do their R&D for them..

it woudlnt hurt to ask some other shops who have tackled this stroket kit already. Of the top of my head, injected and i think spg have a few BC stroker kits build, that whay you dont have to "reinvent the wheel"

Julian,

We checked the part number for the plugs we use, and it is a 12x1.25.
Furthermore, I just opened a motor and removed one to verify that the stock bolts are 12x1.25 - they are. Could you have received something mislabeled - have you verified the plugs you have as truly being a 1.25 thread? If you need a set, let us know.

We have used their stroker kit a few times now and with any kit stuff has to be clearanced.....sorry it wasn't OUT OF THE BOX ready.

Oh really..We knew it was not "OUT OF THE BOX READY" However when your told by the manufacturer that you can in fact RETAIN the oil squirters, and you CAN IN FACT NOT retain the oil squirters..This is a bit discouraging at least...
The fact of the Matter is we have to date , besides Team Falcon Drift, we have yet to see one of these strokers up and running..I certainly have not heard of any stroker kit to leave YOUR facility..

Actually, they were the correct thread pitch..I stand corrected at this point. I posted bad information given to me by my technitian, I would like to correct that on the record...

lets not get carried away on indirect attacks J ....

I know first hand form a friend doing an engine build with the BC stroker kit and a bunch of other stuff on a greddy kit, i think its being build by SGP, and he should have his car shipped to him too.... from what i understood sgp had done a few of stroker kit already so they knew what to do and probably had some of the stuff liek the gridles all ready probably.

I am sure next time , just as injected has for example, you build a BC stroker kit you know what to expect and it will be much less time consuming.

Got it..Sorry..
BC did provide us with some pictures of the build that required further grinding of the piston skirts and rods..This would be great, however we purchased a kit dynamicly balanced from BC. So removing material from pistons and rods at this point would most likely throw off the balance..Therefore this is not feasable..
And on a side note, Look at pic #2.....Look at all those metal shavings in that dudes assembled motor...That is horrid..

Did that technician just scaped prision lol
he needs to wear gloves

so if you do some grinding you will have to re-balance everything again?

The lack of communication was BC telling everyone it was a drop in kit and its not. Im not saying its a bad kit or anything but telling people one thing when its really another is just cheesy.
