Default turbonetics wastegate?

does turbonetics make a higher psi wastegate spring? this is an alternative to an electronic boost controller (aem) i dont want to worry about boost spikes and such, and a couple of my buddies just run higher wastegate springs in there cars

I know they make lower, I'd assume they make higher. Most use a boost controller to raise the boost.

You don't need a new spring. You're solution is a manual boost controller. I'm selling mine if your interested. They hold boost rock solid.

Depending on what spring you currently have in the gate they might not make one higher. You can add shims to increase the spring pressure of the wastegate but above 10-11 PSI you might as well get a boost controller. Turbonetics does make several MBC kits you could use:

well the only issue that im seeing with an EBC is that maybe the solenoids arent strong/large enough to prevent a boost spike. im hoping to run 10psi (safely) before i throw the water/meth inj. kit on there for added safety. but for those of you with experence please state why or why not you choose the ebc over the mbc or vice versa (with price not being an option)

From what I've seen, mbc's are a bit more reliable.

I don't think they're "more reliable" as much as they are "tamper proof". People get themselves into trouble much easier when they have the abilty to dial in and tweak boost/gain settings on the fly.

Depending on the wastegate you have the highest is the 9psi spring. You can add shims like posted above and 2 shims equals one psi but anything above that need to be adjusted via a boost controller. be careful however on the boost level you throw at it on a stock block or you will cause damage to the engine.
