Default Tell me how this sounds (Vortech)

- SS box
- 3.12 pulley
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- 440cc injectors

I know upgrading to a UTEC would be better than SS box, but would this work ok?

I see no reason to believe that it wont work. It should be alright. 04treefiddy has that same setup with his Vortec, I believe, and it runs really good.

Do the walbro mods to bring the fuel press down to around 52 psi..Or it will be around 80 psi...See the turbonetics install manual plus what Phunk recommends for the swirl jet..

I'm leaning towards T1 Race Development for tuning. I've known Art there for years and Tony is one of the top tuners in the nation IMO.

Just about everyone will sell the walbro. Most, if not all, of the FI service vendors on here. Pulley, you could probaby get from the same source, or go straight to Vortech.

I see shops online selling the Walbro for under $100, while SGP sells it for $145. What gives?

*edit* nevermind...SGP includes filter assembly.

i have the ss box, 3.12 pulley, walbro and stock injectors Moog. 7 months an no problem yet, hasn't even gotten close to being lean on any of my track runs. I've been looking at injectors for my setup, but only to swap out to the next pulley, add timing and run some methanol.

Couple questions: What is your fuel pressure at normal street driving?
During WOTat the track?
What is the oem injectors duty cycle at WOT?
How do you know what your A/F ratio is on track runs?
Do you still have the Vortech FMU/Aux fuel pump?

I have no fpg to monitor the pressure. The fp assembly has been drilled out as well as the fpr.( by directions from turbonetics).

I don't know the duty cycle on the injectors. The car was tuned by sharif on his dyno.

I have wideband on my pillar i watch/film when i can at the track.

I'm still using the fmu and aux pump from vortech.
