UpRev is a company. Osiris Tuner is a ROM editing tool that allows a shop to create a map to flash to the ECU. No need for any piggy-back computer, just flash it and you are good to go. There are a bunch of threads on this.

ehh from the looks of it i think id stick with a utec over that... theres so many proven tuners who can tune utec

aem would be my preferred choice theres nothing out there that can even compare except maybe a hydra system

Chris,
Just remember, with just a breather you will get some oil spray. So wherever you put it you will get some amount of oil around it (how much depens on a lot of things)....to prevent that you can always due a catch can.

What did you end up doing with the different size pipes(wastegate & down pipe) STS sent you? I figured I would take it to a exhaust shop and have new pipes made for both sides since I am running Injen rolled Ti exhaust tips.

yea we had a similar program called open source for stis... it was good to a certain level but it still isnt a nearly as good as a piggy back or standalone but for lower hp numbers like <400 it was good i used it. when you get into higher numbers youll notice how it will hold you back

AEM and VQ's boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

AEM and vq ecu do not get along very well.

Much better options these days, Pro-EFI, HKS F-con, Hydra (I guess, only like 1 or 2 people using it thus far), utec, etc.

Haltech is good from what I read. Don't know who tunes it in our area.

That was a big for me, proximity to the tuner....thats why I went Pro-EFI.

Ok boys.....a little off subject, but, not. I just received my TS rear diffuser and I want to know how everyone thinks the CF will hold up to the heat from the turbo. I need to mock install and check clearance.....worst case is I fabricate a heat sheild to protect the CF. Does CF stand heat well?????? Any info would be great. -Jim

does it have a clear coat? if so its not going to take heat well just like hoods and trucks dont take being out in the summer... put a turbo blanket on the turbo and then a heat shield and you should be good

I believe goosgoose has a rear diffuser on his G35. My ING rear lip is also pretty low and pretty much less than .5 of on inch (maybe lower) and it has been holding up pretty well. I can barely insert a cloth to wipe the pipe down... At one point my installer didnt install the lip right so it was literally touching the tail pipe so it melted part of the lip. After reinstalling it it hasn't gotten worst, but then again I dont have a CF lip...

I can only imagine the anguish if a CF lip was melted due to the heat back there.

I may have to look in to this gold foil from the link ^ ^ How much of it do you need to wrap up the everything?

Whoops phone calls and simultaneous posts don't go hand in hand lol

I would assume one would want to cover the rear pipes around the bumper area to protect it from heat damage.

At 28.00/ft I can see this adding up quickly

My diffuser has held up to everything. It hasn't melted or deformed in any way. It is fiberglass painted gloss black with a clear coat.
