Is this for RC Inj? I have the old DW 440cc that was rated at 3.5bar so it is really close to 410cc.

Sorry for not checking this forum as often as I should.

Here's how my exhaust has evolved since summer 2007:

Setup ONE
OEM Manifolds
OEM CATs
OEM Y-Pipe
OEM Midpipe with OEM Resonator
STS Tail pipe
Verdict: Pretty loud, but not unbearable. Drone/rasp at ~2K-RPM was unbearable.

Setup TWO
OEM Manifolds (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Fast Intentions HFCs (Header-Wrapped)
OEM Y-Pipe (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
OEM Midpipe with OEM Resonator
STS Endpipe
Verdict: Louder than before. Drone/rasp at ~2K-RPM was VERY unbearable.

Setup THREE
OEM Manifolds (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Fast Intentions HFCs (Header-Wrapped - CAT cracked and blown away)
OEM Y-Pipe (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
OEM Midpipe with Magnaflow Muffler (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
STS Endpipe with Hushpower Resonator (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Verdict: Not as loud as before. Drone/rasp at ~2K-RPM became acceptable.

Setup FOUR
OEM Manifolds (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes (JetHot-Coated)
OEM Y-Pipe (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
OEM Midpipe with Magnaflow Muffler (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
STS Endpipe with Hushpower Resonator (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Verdict: Fumes stink. Overall volume acceptable. Loud as hell at WOT. Drone at ~2K-RPM became very acceptable.

Setup FIVE (Pending-Perhaps by Late Summer 2009)
OEM HR Headers (JetHot-Coated)
GTM HR Resonated Test Pipes (JetHot-Coated)
Motordyne XYZ Pipe with HFC Option (JetHot-Coated)
OEM Midpipe with Magnaflow Muffler (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
STS Endpipe with Hushpower Resonator (JetHot-Coated and Header-Wrapped)
Verdict: No idea. Hopefully fumes won't stink up at least.
Goosegoose and Jonny, thanks! This is what I was looking for. Did you manage to ever record a video clip showing off the different sound levels and part combinations?

Ive got an STS kit with 4000 miles on it if anyone wants it. I got it from CNC out of South Carolina used and wasn't able to install it before going overseas so it is in Colorado waiting for someone to upgrade their car. $3999 and its yours.

Diffuser update- Fit is good with upgraded hardware (go to ACE) and rebend/modification of leading edge brackets. There is plenty of room to allow for the turbo and piping with the TS diffuser and it looks pretty trick while keeping to many suspicious eyes away from the turbo. Keep in my mind by filter is mounted directly to the turbo and my piping is custom.....but fit with the kit is very good. Here are pics of my set-up prior to diffuser install. I post new pics later this week.

Hey just to confirm with you guys the oil return line from the STS oil pump dumps the returned oil back into the passenger side valve cover? Anyone know about how much oil this is dumping in the valve cover?

Hi everyone, this might be a silly question, does the utech system that comes with the sts turbo kit also control the boost when switching maps?? Thanks in advance.

If you buy the TurboXS Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) and mount it up it will allow you to enter a boost map for each of your fuel/timing maps. You can then switch between them. Also, instead of the TXS BCS you can use a GM solenoid. I don't know the details, but there should be some info on this site somewhere.

However, there are a decent number of people who haven't been able to get it working right and ended up going with an Electronic Boost Controller (EBC) that is completely separate from the UTEC. The verdict is still out on my TXS BCS - we'll see if it works this Spring.

I already bought the map selector so might as well buy the TurboXS Boost Control Solenoid and see if it works for me....Thanks for your help. I should know by next week. I will post my findings.

I have been using the Turboxs BCS for almost 2 years without a problem. It does the job but an EBC is definitely better if you have the $$$.

I think as far as maps go, people are kind of sensitive on sharing them. Most of them payed upwards of $500 for them and posting them for all to see is kind of like giving away what is yours.

Sorry dude....I would share my maps but I don't do them....I have a quasi sponsor with a local speed shop for my racing and they design and load everything according to my driving style, track type, and time of year (it gets crazy hot and cold which seems to affect tune).

Yeah, mine will sometimes jump to high 18's if it's idling too long and will coincide with a really rough idle. Someone did talk about gradually drilling larger and larger holes in the butterfly valve, but I'm hoping a simple idle raise (~1,000 RPMs) will fix it.

Does this happen when the ECU try to correct your idle to 700rpm? My car pretty much run smooth above 800rpm and only stumble when the ECU try to bring down my idle to 700rpm. I'm thinking of bumping my idle to 900rpm because of this. Can you post your tune at 0% column and 500rpm-1000rpm?

hey, any problems driving in the rain or the cold>? Or anyone goes to a carwash with underwash normally? Any advice would be good, this is my main concern with this kit. I know it comes with the soc for the filter, but can it really stop all the water that might get up there? Thanks in advance!
