for water to effect ANY filter it would have to be fully submerged under water

No but there was one that hydro lock the motor because 5 of injectors allegedly got stuck open.. I dont want to get into it but both Utec and injector were sent back to DW and Turboxs and they were tested fine...Maybe install error

I wont worry about the rain though.. I'm 100% confident driving my car even in a storm!! As long as I dont drive in a 2 feet of water then I know I'm going to be fine. lol It was raining one day and the rain was like 2" big and I figured let me do a burnout The first time I picked up my car from MRC I got caught in the rain and I swear it was raining so hard that there were 2-3 inches of water on the freeway.

Thanks AthenG... iam picking mine up today if the install is complete and it is raining so hard here and I jus got a bit worried...from your experiance sounds like everything is gona be fine. I was thinking of installing an aem air bypass valve in the future to be extra safe...has anyone have any experiance with this?

No sense in doing this, as the bypass valve would have to be right next to the filter. The only reason that thing works on n/a cars is because you can place it somewhere up high in the intake piping.

you do notice that i mentioned your videos are the only ones i find?

Ive seen yours HUNDREDS (edit ok 10's) of times, looking for something new/fresh.

And yes i have read through the thread multiple times.

trying to get my crack by second hand smoke so to speak. (if you dont have the cash, watching the turbo guys is the best you can get.)

SOMD, go back a few pages and you'll find my posts... Trust me, all the guys here know I asked all the same questions you're doing now.

You'll also find some good answers too. Feel free to look at the STS turbo threads on G35driver as well. A lot of good info is there too

Finally got the car back and the sts kit sounds so nice....Iam only running stock psi (5) since my EBC is not installed yet. I noticed the engine gets quite hot after a 4-5 runs not going pass 6000 rpm. It is still cold down by me and summer has not hit. Anyone running a meth cooling kit on there car? Does it help alot with the sts kit in keeping the temps down? Should I get any other mods to help keep the car cool on those hot summer days? Thanks in advance.

the sts kit has the lowest intake air temps and under hood temps you'll find in any FI system period
