Did you have 3.3 FD?
How did you pull not having to go to 5th? Slicks (bigger tire?)
Not going into 5th is a lot of time not Phucking around.
i was in 5th, that was the issue. my clutch wouldnt hold in 5th, i was trapping 130 ish with no 5th gear, i would just shift into 5th and it would slip to redline.
you cant fit big enough slicks to stay in 4th at 130 plus. maybe , just maybe with 28s and 3.3 it might work, but i think it will be really close...

Your car going to be ready at the end of the month? That thing should be pretty sick!
i am planning on low 9s, high 8s, shouldnt be an issue. hell, i might even drive it there.
still tagged and insured, might wear down my slicks a bit but would be cool to do so....
going to either A: blow it up, or B: reach close to 800whp ...
my car weighs next to nothing now, motor will be broke in this week, turbo setup should be very very soon.

i ran 10s still with AC and stuff, still factory radio and everything from the seats forward in the car. i had to get a full cage so we ripped out everything in the back to weld it up in there. my car weighed around 2900 with me in it when i ran 10s, i drove it there and back the first few runs, then i bought a trailer to make it easier. TH400 went in and got a few passes in.
i love going fast!!

Good to see folks starting to push thier cars a bit more now.
going from high 10s, to 8s, is a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGG jump, not like going from 12s, to 11. youre talking lots more hp needed, and lots more weight lost. good luck, if anybody can do it youre the one, but i dont see it.
for example....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC9WzB-oXMU
that turbod, gutted, 4 rotor, methanol burning, drag car, ran 8.99s at 150ish, although he did let off at 3/4 track.
back on topic, good runs guys, but im kinda disappointed after all the hype. maybe better results next time.

oh i KNOW what it takes to get into high 8s,
my last setup was a mid 9 second car all day long, (only got two passes on it
) i will have a all around better setup, suspension, prep, power level and traction. i really dont think that my weight, (2600 with me in it) and 800 hp, i will have any issues going mid 150s...
last setup went 10.4 at 134 on the second pass ever. i really dont think it will be hard to better than considerably.

damn just found this thread. this sounds like you guys had a f ucking blast. 350hp just isn't enough for me man I'm gonna have to upugrade here soon i can feel it. So when are the vids going up?
LOL @ Jeremy and his 2900lbs with him in it and driving a car that sounds like a tin can--->gutted, fuel cell, etc, we have full interior cars. This of course takes nothing from his accomplishment, I certainly remember those 10 sec vids and the clutch issues.
I think what Luie means is we want to be the guys that only swap rear tires and run down the track. FWIW, my car weighs 3280lbs without my 200lbs in it in race trim with the twins, MUCH harder obviously for us to run 10's but certainly possible.
