Well, I got my f-con back today from the tuner to fix my surging idle. When I opened the door I noticed alot of mud and destruction on the interior of my car. It looks like a criminal scoped out my car and try to steal it by ramming a screw driver into the ignition. To top it all off my idle still surges. What a day. My question is does anyone know how much it is to replace the metal ignition piece that the key goes in. I can fix the rest.

 

What the hell did your tuner do while he had the car ???? i think the damage would be on him...dont ya think ?

 

Well, I don't know if this belongs in the FI section. But tough luck man. Sorry for the misfortune. I wish people like that had there ********* put in a vice and let the victim turn the handle.

 

Who did you send the Fcon to?? There are less than a handfull that you can actually trust with Fcon..

 

You need to relate the whole story...not just parts

well your link doesnt tell me much either !!!! he shipped off the F-con....ok...to where or who did he ship it to ? Where was his car when it got f-cked up ?

Gman i know you are going to bash but the fcon was sent to sgp and we will see how it will be handled. The car was at my house in the driveway when it was broken into. I know that this could be two threads but i just needed to vent and thanks

Sorry to hear your car got broke into and screwed up .

The problem you are having may not be with the F-Con nor the tune in it .

 

we have figured out a nice little trick to get rid of the idle surge...

hehehe

 

Idle surge? I thought the FCON, aka God's gift to the VQ, had no problems?

 

I was mostly venting on the criminals who attempted to steal my car and started rambling. The idle problem is ongoing and it is the tune on the f-con. The idle is alittle better after getting it back. Now when I cold start it the rpms raise and fall a little slower than before. But still surges up and down till warm.

 

Send it to Sharif... Problem solved!!
