Haltech Platinum Review w/dyno numbers!
Well, I finally got a chance to install and tune a Haltech Platinum on my 350Z yesterday. Overall the unit works very well, installation is a breeze, and the VTC worked flawlessly.
The only changes to the car was the exhaust and EMS. Having the ability to control the VTC will make a huge difference when tuned correctly. Dyno number 103 was what my car was making at the last track rental/meet at Mason Dison, if you compare that to the current setup (run 153, same boost levels) it yielded me nearly 130ft/lbs of torque at 4400rpm. That's a difference that even your "seat of pants dyno" will pick up
Congrats to Injected Performance for offering the community another capable PNP EMS solution.

But of course
I honestly bought it just to see how well it worked, and well it works. Every tuner has their favorite EMS, I just wanted to check this one out first hand.
You have a Revup? Impressive you picked up so much power up top peak over before. And I love the fact that your HP stays flat until 7500rpm's, that is a GREAT powerband for the track.
Nice tune no question - congrats. May I ask what EMS and exhaust you had before and which exhaust you switched to? I assume this is a Greddy TT? Can you provide any insights into your tune of intake vs. exhaust vtc?

Ray, congrats on the numbers and tune - I wasn't sure that you ever got around to installing it
Thanks for posting up your findings, and let me know if you need anything.
RCDash / Alberto, I believe he is non-revup, and was using AEM previously.

Nice!!did you play with the VTC much to achieve those gains?Or was it from leaning it out, smoothing it and adding some timing?
Looks Great!!
PS Hal@IP, yo never emailed me what we discussed, hit me up..

I had and Apex-i exhaust system with 2.5" Y section from the downpipes. I had used the stock flanges that are pretty smalI when I made the 2.5" setup. This time I made the Y section with 3" flanges and tubing that join to a single 4" exhaust system we made. It seems to be working really well.
