Robert_K's JWT TT Build Thread
The JWT turbos are water cooled, true, and I think the Greddys are as well, but they both have substansial oil lines going to them, indicating that they use oil lubrication.
Common sense would also tell you there is some sort of lubrication going on, and it sure ain't water. Thus, oil. And thus, the chance of coking at high temps.

Besides, who in real life does a high boost run, and immediately brakes and turns off their car? It doesn't happen.

Good discussion about the turbo timer. However, for the time being its not on my list. I had one on my Evo 8 and notice that most Hwy driving usally is followed with 5-10mins of mild town driving before turning off the car.
My question (researching now) is what brand 550 injectors I want to go with.

DW injectors for sure. I honestly have never heard of inconsistent flow with DW's. RC's are a different story. There have been quite a few stories of inconsistent flow rates with RC's. You can't go wrong at all with the DW's. I have 550's on my G and can flow enough fuel for 500whp. I'll never be running that much whp on my car but my point is that they work and flow very well.

Order the injectors today. Went with the DeatschWerks 550cc. As soon as Intense reopens I'm ordering the Walbro 220 fuel pump & Stillen oil cooler.

Well, yes, and no. At idle, the engine uses very little fuel. So, the larger the injector, the shorter the pulse it stays open for. However, there is alimit on how fast it will open and close. I don't think there will be a problem with 600's, and everyone has told me that they work fine. I know I have seen some engines with really big injectors have a really lumpy idle, but from what people tell me, 550's, or 600's aren't too big.
