I'm not giving up on hope yet. The Si trim definitely has a ton of potential. The correct setup just has to be found to maximize it's potential.

i have not talked to Sam yet, this decision is not base on GTM's work performance on my car because i know they are working there hardest to get it to work properly but i have pretty much made the decision that once my car is done i am going to de-mod it and sell the z. i have sunk so much money into this car and have recived minimal gains in my opinion. a built engine with twins would be the next step but i am not going to invest anymore money into this car. i am going to cut my losses and purchase a z51 c6 vette and install a vortech kit and call it done. i have thought long and hard about this all weekend and made this decision.

I talked to Sam today, he found a belt manufacturer that makes custom belts.we are going with a custom belt size so we can reconfigure the cog set up back to how vortech originally set it up but with the non revup pulley sizes. we will give that a try and if it works the swap will be easy for other revup people that want to go this route. after it is proven Sam will order a large quantity of these custom belt sizes. stay tuned for further updates.

Wow, that sucks. I would be really frustrated by now if I were in your situation.

why not just go back to the normal rev-up belt config and be happy with your car? or sell it like you had mentioned.

it seems pretty crazy to keep waiting, when the only problem is one that you guys created by trying to use a non-revup belt config?

i just cant imagine having my car sitting idle for months and racking up the charges on it.

Ive gone the SC route and now the TT route with built motor. Over 55k in aftermarket spending. I try not to think of it.

That is exactly what it is! Sam and i talked about it and he is giving me a decent break on the labor for this whole project. That way there will be a kit that can be purchased from GTM for people with vortech revups that want to make over 400 rwhp easily.

Did you give them a time frame for the R&D or just when they get around to it.

I was at GTM yesterday due to having a bussiness trip that put me in the area. what we are waiting on is for the custom belts to be fabricated. Sam notified me we should have the belts by the end of the week. after that we will be back on the dyno to finish up the tune. we never made it over 5000rpm last time before the belt would shread so cross your fingers. at 5000 rpm we were hitting 430 rwhp with a bunch of timing pulled out and running pig rich on the a/f's so we should be able to pick up a bit more power. like i said before i will post up the outcome once i hear from Sam. this may be a really good thing for the revup guys who want to make a bit more power with the vortech!!!!!
