yeah you'd have to lower your redline with a 34/28 cog setup, but I think boost would be close to the same at that lower redline compared to reving to 6600 with the 32/28 cog setup

graphs look awesome BTW considering they were works in progress

I hit 414whp on a conservative tune with my car at 10psi with the 928M impeller.

That was also at about 6500 rpms

I will be soon! My rods and pistons just got here today! Just ordered head gaskets, main studs and head studs!

Come this summer I am going to really wind the 928m impeller out and see what it can do on a dyno.

I have heard some decent things about their rebuilds and bearing kits.

So is anyone running the Si trim successfully on a non-revup vq?

I sent my Sc trim back to vortech for a rebuild and I'm considering having them change it to an Si trim. I have a non-revup and I'm installing a walbro, deatchwerks 600's and a utec.

I want to run the 3.12 pulley on the non-revup setup... anyone running this?

of course people are running it. it it worth 400$? i wouldnt do it again. i would swap for a T-trim or a 928 impeller that can handle 60k rpms.

I think the 928 might be cheaper compared to the T trim but I wouldnt recommend either if u running a stock block.

I don't see why you couldn't run either on a stock block. I hit 414whp on a stock block with the 928 impeller and a 3.25 pulley and a conservative tune. I was able to put down a 440whp run with more aggressive tune but I had old gas in and started to sputter up top so I stopped pursuingit.

I think when I calculated my blower speed I was at 39,000 or so. So in terms of capability, I have 20,000rpm's further to go which I will be doing on my built motor.

Well, the main poster has written pages about trying to get it to run without eating belts. Is there anyone running the Si trim without burning up belts? Are there any dyno's? How much more boost does it give over the sc trim on a non-revup motor?

My vortech is being rebuilt now and I'd like to upgrade it, but if that means burning through belts like the OP, then no thanks.

It sounds to me like someone should make a 10-rib upgrade for the rear instead of the cog belt. Then you at least wouln't have belt breakage and you would still have more traction than the six rib belt driving it will ever have.

Does anyone know the length of the cog belt?

my signature must not be posting....

Jet Mech was rigging a non-rev setup to fit his rev-up motor. any belt problems he was having was unique to his setup. I got maybe 1 psi more boost but 30* higher AITs and negligible HP difference (and often way less than other people's dynos)

That why I still stand with my previous post. 20/20 hindsight. Use the money and go with a T-trim upgrade.

I'm not saying u can't but I just think it's a waste of money if u are going to downgrade in the pulley size just to make a few extra whp down low and only peak around 400whp. The stock blower is well capable of making 400whp with the upgraded pulley so the cost out weighs the benefit at this pt. Also it's hard to say how long the stock non rev motor would last once u pass the 400 mark.
