Smile Stillen Stage 4

Anybody who did a Stage 4 upgrade ever check A/F ratios?

Anybody ever try a Stage 3 Pulley with Stage 4 hardware(pump/injector)

Are the Stage 4 A/F's the same as the Stage 2's(10.8-11.2) around there?

Thanks...

I don't know exact #s. But hopefully this will help...

Stage 1 and 2 come with SS computer to adjust AF

OLD stage three was just a smaller pully upgrade. Used same SS computer AF curves, and cause unsafe lean out. But you could buy the stage 4 upgrade which had the bigger 7th injector, different SS computer to richen fuel, and bigger fuel pump.

Stillen recently "adjusted" their kit (prob from the damaged engines from the leaned out AF ration from the old stage three pully upgrades) and now stage 4 is gone. And stage three is the pully, and all the fuel management upgrades.

That's why i was concerned when he said he only got the pully.

So in other words. Stillen kits, out of the box, run safe AF curves as long as you don't upgrade the pully only.
Hope this helps.

Default Stillen

So know if you get the Stage 3 it is like the old Stage 4 with pump, injector and smaller pulley. Do you know if it is still 8 psi pulley or old stage 3 7 psi pulley.

yep!

http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...SAN&model=350Z

I'm not sure about the psi. I want to say 8psi. Not positive. I know the stock one is 6.5 psi. And i really doubt they'd only up it .5

Stage 3 on non revup is just the smaller pulley.
Stage 4 non rev up is even smaller pulley, bigger injector, pump and SS box

Stage 3 rev up is smaller pulley, bigger injector, pump and SS box.

Apparently on Rev up engines the stage 4 non rev up kit is the stage 3 on Rev up.

So to sum it up, only the non revup can run the smaller pulley without changing anything else from stage 2. My AFR's are pretty rich 10.8-11.2 so it shouldnt be running lean on the new pulley. Im gonna install and dyno asap just incase.

Stillen's site can be misleading at first...here's what it says........

287HP VQ35DE Engines

STAGE 1 - 369 hp / 305 lbs/ft Flywheel
STAGE 2 - 382 hp / 313 lbs/ft Flywheel
STAGE 3 - 410 hp / 339 lbs/ft Flywheel

300HP VQ35DE Engines

STAGE 2 - 390 hp / 360 lbs/ft Flywheel
STAGE 3 - 410 hp / 380 lbs/ft Flywheel

A STAGE 4 High Boost Pulley Kit may be available for increased boost and horsepower numbers. Also, an intercooler kit is available for Stage 1 kits for conversion to Stage 2. Please contact STILLEN directly for more information on either of these items.

.....so in reading this....does this mean there are three different sized pullies for the non-rev up?? One for stage three. and a third for stage 4 plus all the fuel add-ons?

Yea pretty much sums it up. I guess there is 3 pulley sizes for non rev up and 2 pulleys for the rev up. Someone should call and clear this up. Interesting how the Rev up supposedly makes way more torque than non rev up

Cool i'll call 'em tomorrow!! I'm interested to see your AF numbers when you dyno with the smaller pully. We have the same setup. And i'm not ready to spend the money for the "stage 4" upgrade just yet. But if we can safely add the smaller pully, i'm in!!

Just curious what they charged you for the pulley alone?? When i did the stage two upgrade, i got charged an extra $200 above the dollar difference between the stage 1 and 2! They claimed it was that extra time they take to put all the parts in a box cause they don't have upgrades just laying around. They are all boxed as a full stage two kit with the blower etc. But when i got it everything was perfectly shaped in the box like it was ment to be sold as just an intercooler upgrade! I think i'm gonna change salesmen next time. I feel like i get raped everytime i order from them! They also charged me $50 for three 10mm bolts and an o-ring!!

That's interesting. We've always received steep discounts from them. We buy in large quantities for best pricing. They have treated us well with our purchases and any items we returned to them. I think their service has been excellent.

I don't know how you can complain about the price as everything costs more. I paid $10 a pound for lunch meat the other day.

Obviously it you are buying in large quantities they are gonna give you a discount. I don't need 6 blowers!! lol
I dont' want a discount. i'd just appreciate not paying so much for markup. $50 for three 10mm bolts and an o-ring?? Come on!!
who's your sales rep there?

Dean is the guy to go to. It took countless hour of being their & 10's of thousands to be treated well. Best bet is finding a shop that will buy the parts for you.
Steve is cool too, I built a relationship at Willow springs. They all thought I was crazy adding a 55 shot on top of stage 3

I'm still cofused by their site! LOL

From Stillen.com.....

......With the Stage 3 kit, more fuel is supplied by a high-volume in tank fuel pump. When you want more power for your car, but don't want to give up daily drivability STILLEN will be there to supply you with everything you need....

AND...

.......A STAGE 4 High Boost Pulley Kit may be available for increased boost and horsepower numbers. Also, an intercooler kit is available for Stage 1 kits for conversion to Stage 2. Please contact STILLEN directly for more information on either of these items.....

I guess i will "contact STILLEN directly for more information on either of these items" Monday morning. LOL
