LOL
That pic is just classic, "can't afford a scratching post" ROTLMAO!
That cat is telling you, "Open this damn thing!"
I know you had to run to work though. Leaving work early?
Can you stand it?
Is she ok? (the SC not your g/f!) J/K Ag!
You can race my car any time. Just not in car washes! The red light means STOP! LOL.
I can hear your screams from here!
EJ, nice job man a bone stock 6MT, I can't wait to see your boost level at ___ exh. temp readings.
--------------------
HeY Spenc looking forward to your reading too I talked to mike yesterday (he probably won't remeber I always wake him up you know that 3 hour time difference) and he said he hit 7 "bar."
Impressive. So that was with the muffler off or on and lastly what A/F and exhaust were at at the time. That is the highest PSI reading I have seen.
We started with his FMU settings (after the ones in the manual) and neither worked for me. Plug N Pray, not play!

That pic is hilarious.

Here is what Eric my installed had to say on your "KR" question:
[QUOTE]Hi Jack,
Per our conversation I took a look at the post. I am not well versed with all the various forum acronyms, so please forgive me. I am assuming that KR stands for a knock sensor reading. During the dyno session we had no issues with the knock sensor taking any timing out. In fact if the fuel controller had more adjustment we could have made more power through the mid range of the graph, but you can only do so much by adjusting fuel pressure only. If you look at the graph you will also notice those dips occur on both the stock run and on the Stillen supercharged run as well. Those could be inherent to the tuning of the ECU from the factory, possibly from the movement of the variable cam timing. I hope this information was helpful to you and I hope your enjoying your car. If you get a chance you should post the pictures of your car on the dyno and the picture of the Motec A/F ratio monitor on your dash.

One more thing, I'm still experiencing a belt squeal at startup. I've taken it to my local Nissan Dealer who says that this noise is due to the current serpentine belt having to power so many things and this will not go away by itself. My installer concurs. We will be contacting ATI about this. My Nissan dealer also has a ATI on his C5 and he had this problem until a new design on the serpentine belt was created. The noise is only briefly at start up then goes away.
Has anyone who has/is inatalling the ATI experienced this? It's annoying nothing else..

. Hey, for those of you who are on the fence about one of these..... DO IT!! Jack's car came out GREAT and was really fun to drive. His installer did an awesome job on the car as well. In the next few weeks I'll talk him into a set of Nismo Headers so he can do a little better job getting rid of the spent gasses. Thanks for bringing the car by, and thanks for letting me take it out on a "hot lap". Jeff
A similar squeel wold occur on my truck's twin-screw setup. . There , I found that if I cleaned the belt good with paint thinner or laquer thinner it improved the belts cold start grip.
I did this by dipping one of those cheap foam brushes with thinner and with engine idling, carefully (don't loose any fingers, apply to each side of belt were convenient. Need to do both sides since serpentine belts use both faces.
Don't use a lubricant (ie WD40) , cause it will make it squeel worse later.
Give it a whirl it seems to work great for me, an I have 30k on the same belt.

jritoli thanks.
I agree if it isn't KR (Knock Retard) or false retard then I agree with him it is as my installer says not enough control over timing.
As for belt squeel don't give up there are ways to address it one was pointed out already. Mine last 5 seconds at initial start. How many miles are on your belts?
Thanks for getting back to me with the answers!

Max, are you saying that yours squeals every time you start it? That's not acceptable in my opinion. Anybody else having this problem?
I'm doing both

P.S. I am in a duty 4X4 in Yolo County for a week. I may try and run it to Fremont tommorow and open it up. I only have 50 miles on it since picking it up.
Don't do the SC Gary don't do it (cuz I want to be faster! J/K)
P.S. any update on where yours is at?

Well, they couldn't finish my install today. Everything is hooked up, but they are saying that the intercooler gets in the way of the bumper ( the metal inside bumper ) Did anyone else have this problem, and if so how did they get around this problem ?
