dynapack does read higher than dynojet. This doesn't mean that it's any less than any other dynos. In fact, I think it's more consistent when keeping track of power gains. I think the extra power comes from the fact that it hooks up directly to the hub without wheels. Here are some results from a few dyno days that I've been to that had dynapack

my old '05= 287whp with a lot of boltons
my roommates 07 350z with only an HKS exhaust=292whp
06 g35 with hks exhaust only 270whp

Man, you guys are somethin else. I make a post, go out of town and come back this. Let's see if I can get some of the questions answered starting with the clutch - Spec Twin. Very nice close to stock pedal feel and less of the "all on, or all off" feel of the ATS Triple.

you're a silly dude.. you ask me to prove something.. then i prove it.. then you come with something else.. you did the same thing when we argued about you putting down $40k on a GTR and still having $600 payments.. you're just silly man

based on that knowledge and history.. its safe to say that dynopaks read higher than normal.. and of course this is a well known fact for frequent posters of this forum.

Doug, I have never gotten involved in the justification of my dyno numbers because that's all it really is. However, just to comment, you mention 16/17 psi to hit 600whp and I was at 15.8psi. I have a revup with all longblock mods you can have short of sleeving. It seems conceivable that a "true" 600whp can be reached with my mods at nearly 16psi. Just a thought.

15.8 psi Doug, .02 away from what you say makes a "fair" 600whp w/o meth... Good point relating to above 600whp w/o meth. are all on dynopacks.

Jokestrap.. i appologize the direction i took your thread.. i just wanted to point out that dynopack's read a little higher.. it was nothing personal to you.. i do it in all dynopack threads.. again i appologize.. dynopack threads have become sensitive over the years since thats all VRT used to dyno on and they always refused to do DJ..

Hey, no problem Doug. I take no offense. I think the point being made here (by me) is that the curve is great and still climbing. If it is 580whp at nearly 16psi or 605?whp at nearly 16psi if taken to another 250rpm's. It's questionable either way and rocks hardcore on the street. My car is a track car, not a dyno queen so I could honestly totally care less about whp than torque anyway. I was very satisfied with the result of getting my car back with the torque and power curves that will prove to be destructive at the track

What did you prove again? That you can use a search button to provide a couple examples not from the same shop, not tested on the same dyno? Yep, you proved it, you can use a search button, but your search criteria selection leaves much to be desired.

Let's get back on topic. Congrats, Jokestrap! Any new videos or pics to post?

I'd love to see you run the 1/4 with your newfound gains.

i don't have to use the search button.. there is a forum called 'Shop Builds' that has all the information

your navigation skills of this site leaves much to be desired

Hey guy's. Just lurking and came across this and wondering why the op's HP and TQ cross over so soon when I was under the assumption that they always cross at just past 5200rpm's. Does this have to do with the Dyno type as well?

the hp and tq graph's arn't overlayed.. the different lines on each graph's are different PSI runs..

I will post some new pics tomorrow. I am not a 1/4 mile guy. I do road course racing.

Thanks!
