Default Guys with F con v pro + AIT sensor

Did you install your air intake temp sensor before or after the throttle body?
I installed it on my crawford plenum right after the throttle body, and the temperature seems to be too high... So, I'm wondering if AIT sensor should be installed before the throttle body near the MAF sensor...

I think you got it right. I remember a thread talking about this and if you had meth you would need to put the AIT sensor there to be after the meth nozzle to see if it brought down temps. What kind of temps are you running?

My Haltech AIT is after the throttle body (on the neck of the plenum). As close to the intake valves as possible provides the most accurate data. Right after the throttle body gets good airflow and should provide accurate temps.

If its hot, then its hot. Mine is 120 degF typically on an 80 degF day.

HKS recommends it to be install on the plenum for more accurate intake temps

Your sensor is in the correct place, the only problem with the plenum is heat soak issues since it is a metal sensor, hence why the stock maf housing is plastic.

I highly recommend a MREV Isothermal gasket, this will help reduce a lot of the heat soak to the upper plenum, providing cooler IAT's and a more accurate reading.

This is what I use:

It has a plastic core to surround the sensor element to hopefully prevent heat soak from the direct metal to metal contact. I do have the MD isothermal spacer and installed the aramid gasket between the mid to lower plenum.

Not sure if the FCON has a similar unit. The only disadvantage is that it is BIG. 3/8" NPT. I was expecting 1/8".

I see! This seems to be my problem... I see from 120~140F. Longer I drive around, hotter the average intake temp gets because the plenum heats up and heats up the temp sensor along with it...

The closer to the intake valve the better. The reason you see hotter temps with the sensor in the plenum, is that the air is getting hotter. You want the ems to see this. I am on my iphone so sorry for the grammer.
