i know it kinda sounds as if there is something blocking or keeping the pressure up, because if you was building pressure like you said the engine would hardly run you sure you didnt get silicone in the oil drains from your heads when you put the covers back on i have seen that before some liquid silicone to get in the oil and when it dries is wear it stays but if you have that much pressure in your crankcase oil would be blowing pass your rings and you'd be burning oil.it almost sounds like your pressurizing it some how, but then again you said you unhooked everything the cap and two vents i dont know id get a shop to look at it before you drop the money into a new one

If you are positive the PVC is correct (i would jhust dump everything to the atmosphere to be sure) then its gotta be ringlands... Compression check, add some oil and see if u bump ur numbers up alot.

im going to take the supercharger off tomorrow and just start fresh.... if I return everything to stock and it runs ok then I will take it from there..... if not then I know I will need a new motor..... thats the only thing I can think of at this point.... and I am pretty sure there is nothing that I can do to regain my compression..... a compression test is what it is.... unless there is a miracle fix out there where I dont have to rebuild lol.....

You nailed it, man.. Whether you take the SC off or not, cylinder 3 is toast, and 1 & 2 are beyond ugly as well. Time to open her up and investigate. That engine is not going to run well just by reverting to NA.

so I am kinda in a situation... there is good news and I dont know news.... I returned everything to stock.. minus the big dash 8 return line plug in the side of my upper oil pan... I took it to the dealership.... and they are replacing my valve covers, and all the gaskets in the intake plenum.... BUT I was telling him about not having power and hinting around at him doing a compression test so I could possibly get the motor replaced under warranty.... <-- this was yesterday.... Today I come in and the tech that is working on my car tells me the compression is a little low but within tolerances...???? WTF???? he gives me a sheet showing 1=150 2=160 3= 160 4=150 5= 160 6=160???? great numbers but wtf happened to the compression test my friend did at his shop where I was standing right there and we got way lower numbers????? I am confused.... the tech is the same guy who has always worked on my car doing warranty stuff... he mainly works on Z's and is the dealerships GTR certified tech.... he tells me that the crank case pressure I am seeing is normal...? is normal blowing spark plug gaskets out and valve cover gaskets out of the side of the valve cover? or could all that have happened just by the fact they were 50k miles old? anyone have any other ideas? think maybe he didnt do a compression test and just pencil whipped the numbers?

Edit: so what is the proper way to do a compression test? maybe my friend did it wrong...?

Just take it to a certified mechanic and get another compression check done, document it, and present it back. Make sure you keep some documentation on the dealer's data.

did a leak down test though.... wouldnt that have found the head gasket? Basically when WE did the compression test he had me in the car turning it over and he would take the plugs out one at a time to check each cylinder.... I have read that you are supposed to take all the plugs out before doing any of them?... damn it... I am going to have to pay for someone else to do a compression test on it.... what do I do if the compression is indeed bad? just go back and show them they scewed up? I am trying to stay on their good side.... so far they have replaced everything under warranty... im afraid that if I **** them off they will look for reasons not to replace my motor.... and with a big dash 8 drain plug in my upper oil pan all they have to do is say someone has been in the motor....

If you've built up a rapport with them, just ask them straight up. Tell them you've talked to a few colleagues and you're worried that something is seriously wrong with the motor. They did a leak down or a compression test? Honestly if there really is a problem, your symptoms will continue. They won't be able to fix it without opening the motor. Tell the tech you'd be willing to chip in a little extra on the side if he goes the extra mile to really investigate the issue.

Well I guess I dont have to worry about getting a 3rd opinion... they called me today and told me that after replacing the valve covers the pressure in the motor was so great it was just causing all kinds of problems and that a new motor would be delivered on Tuesday so I get a new motor I can beat on for a while... I guess I will go with a 3.12 or 3.33 pulley instead of the 2.87 ... I dont want to risk blowing a brand new motor.....
