last question.. what do you do with the port from the intake pipe after you add the breather to the valve cover?

Try Autozone or other local parts store. They sell vacuum caps of various sizes.

You will probably need something like a 5/8 id cap.

two months ago i did a homemade catch can from this thread

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...catch-can.html

i got this hose from home depot.. but its flexing and shrinking too much with heat..

i ordered some SS Lines and Andonized Fittings from corvette accesories per gothchick's suggestion..

i'm going to redo the catch can with the new hose and fittings this weekend.. and also do the breather filter on the drivers side

here is her car with the new lines and fittings

doug,

as you already know....that hose sucks. it collapses with heat and vaccum! if you want a cheaper alternative to the braided lines, go to your local auto parts store and look for "high pressure" hose or "fuel injection" hose. they should have it behind the counter. Just ask them if you can look through the hoses in the back.

Use it as another vacuum source: during boost! (check valve required) Use SAE J30-R7 or -R9 fuel injection hose (the latter is really expensive per foot). I doubt R7 would collapse at the low vacuum levels it sees even when hot. I used it for a long run across the front of the car (from pass side catch catch to vacuum source on driver's side intake pipe).

yes T-fitting coming out of the catch can to 2 check valves - 1 going to plenum, other to driver side turbo intake. voila - vacuum source all the time!
