The tow company just wants to get paid. I am sure a Jackson(20) would make the driver forget to open the hood and check for a motor

Pics of the touched up areas in the engine bay:

A pic of where I rerouted the starter and alternator ground cable. Its the big wire that comes out of the battery area with the extra long grommet on it. I drilled a hole and it comes out from the cutout. It should be out of sight now.

I did the same with my alternator/starter cable. You don't see it at all once everything is in

WOOT!!!

Thanks Dave, great info, I was wondering what the 3/5 angle vave jobs meant. Please post up the other pics and the flow results when you have a chance. Can't wait to put these bad boys in action.....

The car is back on the ground and ready for transport. Gonna try tomorrow to bribe a local AAA hauler and see if we can work something out.

After talking with jtgli, I decided that the main harness tuck will be easier when the motor is in because we will be able to see where all the connections have to get plugged in, or I will do it later this week under Frank's watchful eye.

Its been great and productive having the car home for a bit, but its time to get this circus on the move now...

Good idea I did 1/2 mine with the engine out it was harder to find where they go and I was just guessing how much to extend the wires (on the ones that needed extending).

One has to wonder why, with such time that went into the Headgames post a thread of its own wasn't created instead. It was a fairly decent post, entertaining, and educational to boot. That said, was it a re-post of a tutorial/instructional thread posted elsewhere? If so, can I get a link?

THanks,

D

While a separate thread would have been fine as well, who in this forum doesn't follow Cass's thread? I'm sure Cass wouldn't mind if folks wanted to ask Dave questions regarding the head work in this thread. I'm looking forward to the flow data and any thoughts Dave has on the HR/VHR heads vs DE heads. My understanding is the valve size is smaller in the new heads, but they still flow just as well if not better (velocity vs. volume?)...

I would have loved to make a separate post, surely it would benefit more folks then just us. But, I just had no interest in getting kicked off of here for what could be taken as advertising. I don't know any moderators on here, but if one would ok it, I have a bunch more info and pics and think it would make a great thread. We actually flowed these heads against the HR heads, with surprising results!

So...if someone knows a mod on here that can ok it, pm me.

I just logged on and was going to post the same response for you. This is in my thread because its what I am having done as part of my build and I wanted others to see what a little head work can get you.

Dave - please post the rest of the pics and flow results, unless you want to wait for the OK from a mod. Try sending a PM to Romey.

I'm not sure about anyone else who read the post, but I didn't see any specific pricing, packages, etc (variables that would not only be considered marketing) that would violate the black and white areas of the TOU.

Headgames: I've known Lar for a good minute, and he's always spoken highly of your work. In my world, that goes a LONG way. Given the economic challenges of the moment, I don't blame you for NOT wanting to formally join this board as a legit "vendor", but a wise man once said (and I'm paraphrasing) "To cut one's marketing is to cut one's throat."

My reply was in honest (and in poking fun of course -- those of you who know me can attest to my sense of humor!) response to the great information that you posted -- an arena in which very little attention is paid on a technical level, in the VQ world.

That said, I challenge those of you whose logic dictates that information on head work, like Headgames, be sequestered/limited to a post inside of a thread (albeit quite the read of a thread!) to find another similar post of such merit and info regarding head work.

D(PM'ing a mod/admin now)

I have a solution to getting the HeadGames info out for all to see..... New thread started.

Dave feel free to post up what you have found in that thread. Remember, this is what MY experience has been, so I am sharing MY info on these mods with the community, its not a sale thread, its just me asking you to post my results. Hit me up if you are more comfortable emailing them to me and having me post them up.
