^^^ You guys just can't wait...lol. We are just getting through a bad winter storm, and it looks like this may be the end of it (hopefully). So I hope the roads start clearing up soon, and as soon as they do I'll start (with Travises help) tuning.

Just have to do the injectors and fuel pump, all other stuff is complete including Haltech install. So one days worth of work, that will probably get done tommorow.

I PM'd Hal a few days ago now, asking if he has a decent basemap for my setup. No reply yet.

I also have to get some sparkplugs, any recomendations?

cool man, been following along for a while...i just did a vortech build and can't imagine how this build went with fabbing parts up and much more to it...

i recommend NGK iridium 1 step colder depending on power goals maybe 2 steps colder, but one should be fine, i just ordered on here for 50 shipped from a vendor can't remember the name though HR autoparts i think

nice to see your progress, waiting so frustrating... but almost fin. most uses these NGK Iridium LFR6AIX-11...no need for 2 step colder/ good luck.

Actually, I would much rather do things my way than follow someone elses instructions .

I put the car on the ground today and had it running for about 15 minutes, just to get the oil warmed up and circulating. It idles beatifully, it's like nothing was ever done to it. And looking at the engine bay, it doesn't look like any work has been done:

<a href="http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/?action=view&current=startup010.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/startup010.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Dual O2 sensor wires are the only thing visible that is not stock:

<a href="http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/?action=view&current=startup011.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/startup011.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Air filter/O2 sensors on the passenger side:

<a href="http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/?action=view&current=startup004.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/startup004.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Air intake/discharge:

<a href="http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/?action=view&current=startup006.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/startup006.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/?action=view&current=startup007.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q204/1997KLDE/startup007.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

As it sits righ now the turbo compressor housing is 5.5" above ground, IMO that is plenty. Now the car will probably be lowered a bit in the near future (currently looking for a good deal on coilovers). So that number will go down a bit, probably a 1" drop.

It will be a vacuum source. I will route it to a catch can, and it should keep my crankcase under vacumm at all times. I have to put a couple of check valves in too, but that will be done when the intake comes off for injector replacement.

It looked just like this at my place in PA on Monday last week - thankfully it has gotten warmer this past week and has completely melted.
