Bump for semi-annual update.

Is GTM still stringing you along with testing that welded closed deck, like 6 months after they started?

I think the short block is about done and ready to ship. I'll call today to check on it.

Still waiting on the motor....................................................... .............

I spoke with Sam and week ago Wednesday and he said the block modifications were finally complete and that it would only take a day to get the motor together. I have not heard anything since then and was unable to get a hold of him last week. I'm hoping it will finally ship. There is nothing holding it up anymore. They have the R&D done on the block modifications, they have the new tools in place for that modification, etc. etc. So, there are no more excuses and now it is time for them to move my motor to the front burner...

^ Well he doesn't really have a choice. LOL. Seriously though, I think all of the tweaks and thought that has gone into this motor will form the basis for a new benchmark in motor reliability, hopefully... I'm sure Sam is double and triple checking everything. I also cannot wait to see the results and wish you the best of luck Terry! Sam, help Terry make it to ZdayZ - it will be great promo for GTM!!!

Thank you, Raj!

I would love to make it to ZdayZ. Sam, if you can get that motor out this week that would be good. I need to give Japtrix enough time to get everything back together and tuned. Plus, I have a custom fuel return system and underbody that need to be fabricated, etc. etc. There is a lot of work to do.

Terry - Just tell Sam that the motor ships this week or you will use your mod powers to delete a GTM shop thread every day the motor hasn't shipped. Either that motor ships or GTM just disappears thread by thread

I hope to see some progress on this build in the near future.

I destroyed two rod bearings when I over reved my last motor and sold the Greddy kit. I have now been down over 16 months. The first 4 months were lost dealing with other shops, though.

As I indicated, Sam did tell me he had to do R&D to make sure that the block modifications were done right, would hold up, and not lead to other problems. Also, I volunteered to be the guinny pig on this. We started on the block modification process in August.

I don't think either of us thought it would take this long. To be fair, Sam did go through a couple of blocks working on this, had to have fabricated a custom block guard that could be welded into place and provide the proper support, had templates for routing the cooling passages fabricated, and had to buy additional tooling for all of this. In the mean time, he has had other projects he has been working on. If he can get the motor out this week, I will be happy.

In hindsight, I should have slapped the other motor back together to keep me running in the mean time. Oh well.

ahh, i forgot your last one was blown. I just looked at my photo date stamps and my car was on stands for 4 months before it was started again only to be delayed again with Haltech issues.

Zdayz seemed really far away, but new delays make it seem next week.
