Have you guys considered that the belts snapping might not be related to the bracket flexing (even with AAM bracket or braced bracket) but due to the stress of the high gear ratio and the forces that have to be compensated by the belt drive when you lift the throttle? Check out this free-wheel assembly built for this purpose, unfortunately not available for C-2 supercharger: http://www.atiracing.com/superpulley/index.htm

interesting... like freewheeling on bike pedals.

I'm only at 9psi, so I don't really shred belts, but I've been following a lot of threads for the 12+psi guys... it's hurtful to think that we can't reliably reach that point as procharger owners.

So instead of making a new thread asking the same questions as this one I figured I would just bump this one. Since it hasn't been posted in for a few years I was wondering if any one ever found a way to get 12 psi out of their procharger with out breaking belts? I know the AAM brace isn't made any more so that's kind of out of the question. I was wondering if its possible to put a brace on back of the supercharger brace and connect it to the chassis, like the Tim Rod Vortech brace.

Yes, that bracket is the key. Had running ProCharger on a 14psi with it and belt wasn't breakIng anymore.

Other then finding that bracket or simply having one made I don't see any other solution...
OR maybe and this is just a thought but you may be able to use or fab up a engine torque damper and mount it onto the SC bracket and it should help some.

I'm currently at 10psi and will soon move up to their highest and I'll think of something. I hope... lol

Yea i was thinking the only way to really prevent it now a days is with some sort of torque damper like the TimRod's Radius Rod Strut Kit.

^Yup exactly what I pictured in my head. Shouldn't be too hard to fab.

^How has this been holding up and have you noticed anything different? Read that by doing this can cause more wear/stress on the bearings. Also did you fab this up or bought as a kit like what Conway linked?

Brackets kept cog belt on life for a long time. Without brackets was able to do 1-2 runs to the 7500 rpm (14 psi) before brand new cog belt went south.

The only downside was transfered noise and vibration from blower to the chassis on idle, but get used to it with time.

Made them by myself, was not a big deal.
