My Vortech 2.87 setup & dyno numbers =)
Uti is jeffsofware. There is also MPS witch is another logging program. There is info on both in the utec upgrade forum. I have used both and like UTI the best.

UTI is talked about towards the end of the thread.

its not the bpv, its gotta be belt slip or a leak, do the leak test and no the blower doesnt need to come out to do that...just unhook the coupler and leave the blower in place..
on a side note alot of vortech guys here...so any of u guys take the filter out to clean? any tips on removing it without taking anything else out and not banging it all up

there are only 2 things that can leak on the bypass valve: the oring on the inside and the gasket. If it hasn't been touched then i doubt the gasket is bad. If the oring is bad on the inside then it proably wouldn't boost to 5psi either. It also just made it up to 8psi. Intermittant oring failure doesn't exsist. It is either a broken oring meaning no boost, or the oring works fine. It doesn't do 5psi one day, then the next do 8psi so i'm going to say that probably isn't the cause.

I dont think 98% that is the belt. I have tighten the belt so much.. it is rock solid! I even went for a run, came back and tighten it more. I pretty sure its not the belt.

And filter. There is only two option, CAI or longer filter, which needs trim out some area but Its easier than stock filter.(check out WTB section, I posted a pictures and part numbers.)

To log with the UTEC open hyperterminal on your laptop plug in serial or usb. Turn key to the on position. Then The utec home screen will pop up in the hyperterminal. Go to logger by pressing 1. It will start to log hit space bar to start and stop it. At the top of the hyperterminal you will see transfer, Click it and choose capture text. It will ask you what folder you want it to go. I named a new folder on my desktop to send files too so they will not get lost in your computer. So after you chose what folder you want the file to go hit start and it will start saving your logs. Once you are done logging go back to transfer and click stop file transfer. And all your logs will be in the folder you have chosen. Remember the space bar starts and stops the log.
You will get the hang of it. It takes trial and error.
I could never get the usb cable to work so. I used a Berklin Usb to serial cable adapter and it worked great.

Here is a leak tester I made if you do find in your logs that it's a leak. And DO NOT pressurize to 20psi like was mentioned it will blow your seals inside your motor. 10 psi is plenty to check for a leak. If you can't hear it, use soapy water and you will find every leak.

400whp350z or somethin along those lines on here has a simple and effective boost leak tester that is very newb friendly..
anyone on here have a dyno graph or something that shows what belt slip would look like on a graph?
also op my car runs like crap when its hott, it gets to 6k and falls on its face and wont make more than 8psi, when its cool out and not humid i will see 9-10 psi and it runs like a raped ape...i was tuned when it was 69 degrees and not humid at all...but im going in pretty soon here for a retune with the 2.87 pulley so all will be good...take the weather into consideration but either way u should see more than what u are seeing

this is belt slip. Only making 5psi is most likely NOT slip. That means he'd be slipping completely at like 4000 rpms. His entire motor would be COVERED in belt dust if that was the case. He didnt put something back together properly, pushed on the valve on his bypass valve, or something else. Need to do a leak test.

Well guys I took another video and i played it when I got home... I saw 9psi . Both 2nd and 3rd gear.... Even more of a bad news is that I have to take the unit out again. There was oil in the bpv... Ughhhhhhh fak my life. Gotta do that all over again. When I take it out Iam going to do the logg, it's not worth it to go any further on this boost leak test without getting this this.
Iam going to diagnose what's causing the oil leak and go from there. When the blower is out I will do a boost leak test as well
blahhh ='(
