Default Need a little help from my FI friends (EBC and Osiris)

The STS thread has been slow....so I am throwing this out to the FI community at large. I want to swith to the Osiris over the Utec on my STS Z. I can produce 15psi all day but don't know if the injectors (440's) will hold up????? What is my max boost on these injectors??? I also need a suggestion for a reliable EBC.......Then some map help for the Osiris over the base tune. Thanks for the input

When you get your Osirus dyno tuned, your tuner will tell you if your injectors are too small as boost does not equal horsepower.

Greddy, HKS etc all make 'reliable' boost controllers. Just depends how much you wanna spend. A simple google search will list all your options.

Your 440cc will never hold up with 15psi.. heck my DW 440cc can barely support 8psi and that is with 50/50 water/meth.

With the switch to Osiris, you will lose overboost protection, so choose an EBC that has this feature (I think the HKS EVC 6 does, but not certain). Your injector requirements will not change going from a UTEC to Osiris. They are unrelated. That said, 15 psi with any form of FI will likely exceed the safe capabilities of those injectors as others have noted.

Athens....good to hear from you! What do you suggest for injectors so I don't have to tune twice and waste cash on labor time.

I have considered keeping utec with bigger injectors and more boost.....I just don't think the Utec is working all that great for me. Any advice or suggestions is welcome.

I run 15-16 psi no problems with a great tune. The resolution is still good, but prolly close to its limits at the range. I'd never go from an active knock system to a reflash, not at that level anyhow.

Without a dyno ,its hard to say what size injectors. My SC at 15 psi is only like 460 hp. A turbo at 15 psi might be well over 500. But either 600 or 800 deatchwerks is what I'd go with.600 if you are close to 450 and 800 if you are over that

Sharif's dyno, correct? That 460 hp is probably just over 500 DJ STD whp. Did you ever do a comparo at Staples in Durham?

Ok....so my current plan is 600 DW injectors, ebc (any suggestions??) currently running MBC, , possibley meth injection (damn thing runs high EGT's....up to 1300 6th gear on the hwy) and a proper tune at 12-15 psi. Just for background. I'm running the STS kit with a modified garret 60-1 trim, light flywheel with 6 puck clutch, with boost-EGT-and wideband guages.

if you are upping your injector size, DO NOT keep UTEC. i was having incredible problems after i installed my APS kit with UTEC, 660cc DWs and a 255lph walbro. car would not idle AT ALL. i eventually went with Osiris. have had no problems since. Osiris > dogshit > UTEC imo. look up my other threads in FI to get a good idea of the problems i had with that combo. good luck in w/e you choose though.
