So today's tuning session was a failure but at least my demons are near finished (i hope). Seems I have a very tiny fuel leak somewhere (maybe the fuel rails?) as well as a maybe a bad injector. I know I mentioned I may have an injector issue before but I wanted to wait until I had both of my widebands functioning again to see if one of my banks was going lean as shown by the stock sensor.

I drop my car off at GearHeinz on Tuesday and he is going to pull the injectors and send them to DW as well as fix any fuel leak.

fuel leak? bad injector?

you need to find a new shop ASAP, no disrespect. fuel leaks are super easy to find.

what are your issues? dont waste the money sending the injectors back. they never come back bad. Not once. Quick search will verify that

if the injectors are leaking at the o-rings, you can hear it hissing when you prime the car, not to mention visually see the gas wetness.

you should always prime the fuel system before you put the plenum back on

I understand what you mean, this shop im going to is only to tune my car due my original shops dyno breaking. I had paid this shop in advanced to tune my car, I chose not to let them resolve the issue since GearHeinz is the shop i will be working with in the future. There is nothing wrong with RRR Dynotuning its just I'd rather 1 shop do everything in the future (including tuning).

anyways I've been thinking about the issue and was hoping to go to gearheinz today but he just had a kid yesterday so he asked me to come next week.

When they were trying to tune my car N/A we were getting a slight misfire from injector #6 so we pulled all the injectors and #1 #2 #3 looked like it was running rich (which I expected) where as #4 #5 had much less buildup then bank 1 and #6 looked almost white. We put new plugs in and still were having the same issue. We also smelled a slight fuel leak randomly when tuning but there was nothing leaking on the ground and I have had no issues with gas mileage.

Seems to me that either the fuel rail is leaking or the pressure into that rail is not sufficient.

i looked on the front page and didn't see what type of fuel system you have. If it's one of the main return kits then your fuel feed is at the back of the rails and the first cylinders to get the fuel would be 5 and 6. If there were a leak then 6 would have the most fuel and as it goes forward wouldnt the cylinders lack fuel therefore making cylinder 2 leaner than 6? That's backwards as to what you have for results.

I just have Cosworth Fuel Rail Kit installed at the moment though I have CJM's Stage 0 waiting to be delivered...I'll probably have that installed at the same time as when gearheinz troubleshoots my fuel setup.

Just destroyed my first engine today...off to gearheinz tomorrow to pull the motor. Car made a nice pop then pretty much died. Pulled over opened up the hood and didnt see any fluids, look under the car didnt see **** either. Tried to start the car and it immediately dies. Tried again and kept my foot on the gas and eventually i got it to crawl at 1-2mph enough that i could park it. Oil pressure was reading 0.

Sorry to hear man, hopefully its the first and last engine you destroy.

Were you in boost when that happened?

I hate that feeling. (every couple of weeks or so, I dream that I rev my engine and it blow up)
