Pretty sure you said you were going to run to 8500-9000 rpms, so you'll still have quite a powerband!
we get it you have 900whp dd you throw that around every chance you get. let the guy live and enjoy his kit when its fully tuned. live and let live.

ninja edit! im sure st8dum1 is only tryin to help out.

where did you see a PTE6765 compressor map? Which Intense setup are you referring to?

I bet waiting for that full tune is killing ya now. Be interesting when Jtran posts up the sheet from his twin scroll 4088
There isn't a compressor map but there are a number of evo and supra shops that have posted back to back dyno's and flow numbers on th same car, same day changing from the 4088r to the 6765 billet wheel. The graphs overlay almost perfectly until high boost levels the 6765 pulls away like crazy. Also wheel size and housing size are very similar between the 2 which explains the almost exact results on the same car setup.

i'm refering to the new intense setup that he's posting with the 4088r. It's a twin scroll yes, but it's not setup like the quick spool valve where it forces all the gases to one small scroll therefore his spool shouldn't be 400rpms different than mine. Maybe 100 at most, but 400 is a wide stretch. Again, they are tuned.

I'm dying to get this thing on the dyno. There is a local place here that tunes gtr's and some 350z's with osiris (and they do porche) so i've thought about them and just tuning the haltech that way myself. I talked to reid today and he's going to talk to the tuner to see if he'll do a haltech for me. He said he's done 1 before so it will depend on what he says if i can get up there for them.

yep, running good now. just gotta get that boost controller dialed in.

all this talk about timing and i'm getting nervous about advancing my timing. The areas i need to advance the timing aren't under full boost. Im' talking like the 3000-4000 range on it's way up to full boost so 3-10psi area. Those areas i'm still only at 8* and i think that's low. I'm seeing 12-14* on built setups in those areas on other maps.

I have found out thanks to GRD (crap) tuning that my car will handle 2 pulls to redline at 28* timing before the head gaskets go!

well, the basis of tuning a haltech is easy becuz I can do it. With it on a dyno and monitored it definitely will be a safer tune than my street. Sp is a good shop and I'm sure they wouldn't screw it up.

I'm on the fence about it. It's more than a couple weeks. We are talking 2 months of waiting.

well, business is not quite the case. Hal had grand jury duty so that put them behind and I guess now he is helping with his family's business. I'm not going to try to explain becuz I don't know the details and I don't want to pst incorrect info. The outcome is hal is busy doing smething other than working for injected and he's just tuning on weekends for them due to his schedule. Takes a lot of weekends t get all his customers done.

vas, wtf?
