Interestingly, my research on this issue has led me to the understanding that drivetrain = transmission + clutch + torque converter (where applicable) + rear end/differential.

POWERTRAIN = engine + drivetrain.

Default Aux injectors

A note on the Aux injector method.
I currnetly hace a KenneBell setup on my trcuk and it operated in a similar fashion to the DW.

Generally the reason these setups use Aux injector(s) is:

a) the ability to leave the factory injectors and ECU pulse maps intact , make meeting emissions and CARB) much simpler. The aux injectors are only used when positive boost (ie bypass valve is shut).

b) the Aux injectors (often dual, bank fired) for capacity, are useually placed just before the "screws/rotors" and after the TB. This helps in a few ways. - the screws guarantee a well mixed A/F stream (no puddling), - the cooling effect of the pre-screw (rotor) spray help lubricate , cool and improve efficiency.

I welcome some more input on the subject for DW, and feel free to critique. They may later the factory injectors and maps, but I kinda doubt it.

Is there any way to tell yet what dealers are going to install/warranty this supercharger? I am hoping that Smithtown Nissan will ,but I haven't seen them around the forums lately.

I am assuming the list of dealers is growing. The product will not be relaesed until January thus there will be more dealers by then. My suggestions is to call Nick at DW. His phone number is posted on this thread and ask him. Another thing you can do is go to their website and contact them.

Here is a website address:

Not only am I excited about the DW product, I am excited you guys will be selling and installing them. If the quality of DW proves to be as good as the feedback I here about your dealer, it will be a winning combination.

I could be wrong on this, so take it for what it's worth. But, I do believe DW is trying to sell these through the Nissan Dealer network, I.E. motorsports. If that does happen (not that it will) then they get to save a ton of money on advertising as we will do that for them. On the other side of the coin, everyone has heard od ATI and Vortec.... but who is DreamWorks??? Personally, I'm on board and will do everything I can to help them bring this system to the market place. I guess we will see what the next couple months bring.....

I've been looking forward to this kit for some time now, however it seems to be delayed, delayed, delayed. If you do some digging and assume that Dreamworks is the 3rd party contractor for Alpine Development you'll find that the first post about this thing was about a year ago. Also according to past posts the kit should've been done a couple of times now.

That said, this kit seems to offer just about everything I could want for my Z... any information on it would be greatly appreciated.

Engineered products take time. In haste some 350 Z friends purchased and installed other kits and now are having problems.
This is not our goal. Profits are what every company seeks; however, we are only spending our money on development, not yours (from selling our incomplete product).

Our ECU with fuel management is perfect; we intend to rape our competitors on the street and track. We engineer for what we refer to as a "0" rate of failure, we expect to market nothing less.

As far as Alpine Developments, Dream Workes has ownership in Alpine, as well, they are one of our distributors on the west coast.

The strut brace will work. However upon final fitment this may need a small adaptor. If so, the adaptor will be available. (Possibly included in kit).

Shipping is set for January 2004.

Speed is for Pilots.
