They will know because you will need to tune it for the smaller pulley.

The ss box also must still have the seal on the serial port which means the tune isn't allowed to be adjusted.
Putting a smaller pulley on and running the tune that comes with it would be pointless

If you're going to use the SS box that comes with it, even to start it up, you will have to use your stock injectors.

And warranty is pretty much a mute point with any kind of FI... there was a shop a while back that was offering a great SOUNDING warranty on their turbo kits, built motors, etc... then when **** hit the fan it turned out that there was always a reason that it got denied.
There's nothing wrong with a used kit, If you get it inspected and make sure its good. Even if there's something wrong with it you can get it rebuilt for cheaper than buying new.

amen.

basically all that the warranty is going to do is MAYBE replace the bearings if you fire it up the first time and it makes noise. If you buy one already used you know the bearings are in good health unless the person damaged it and then it's all about knowing your seller.

seymore, if you mean using the stock injectors on the stock pulley with the stock tune then yes, but with a modified tune the ss box has been shown to be ok with 550-600 cc injectors. I'm pretty sure you are talking about running with a stock tune though.

there are wax seals on all the bolts holding pulleys (serpentine, jackshaft, and pulley on the back of the blower). you have to crack the seal in order to swap a pulley.

like others have said, the warranty shouldn't be a deciding factor. if you go with a used kit, however, i'd send in the blower for a rebuild. might as well start with fresh bearings, seals, etc.

I just read that, about the seals on stuff...

I've decided i'll be happy with the 3.33 pulley and a few exhaust mods for a while. I'm safer (yes, anythign can happen) with the 3.33 pulley, I can live with it.

Kit is ordered... along with a spacer and BOV filter to quiet the apparent whistle?
Now i just need an oil cooler and a few guages...

Question -
I did read somewhere that the stock belt they send is crap.. and I should get a gates belt???

Will this sound like one of those annoying STI guy's that have a loud a** BOV? cause i dont want that...

the rods by far are the weak point.

So i'm looking at these gauges -

AEM AEM-30-4100 Digital Wideband Air/Fuel UEGO Gauge
AEM 30-4406 -30-35 PSI Boost Gauge
AEM 30-4402 100-300F Oil Temperature Gauge

And install them into a A-Pillar by Glowshift
http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/02-07...e-package.aspx

Anyone have any issues with these gauges?

Are you ever planning on doing any tuning yourself? If so might I recommend something?

If you go with an Innovate LC-1 wideband and an AUX box you can data record wideband, map, rpm so you can do any tuning. The auxbox has 5 inputs so you can use any sensor and plug into that so if you want to use an oil pressure sensor you can record that and the oil temp.

The aem are good things, but just as a recommendation in the long run if you ever wanted to record stuff. I bought all my gauges and didn't think about datalogging to do tuning and had to rebuy all new stuff that would datalog.
