Wheel size is irrelevant if the proper TIRE size is chosen.

Hi I am not quite sure what the relationship is between tire size and RPM at a given speed. Are you talking about the height of the tire wall?

Yes, a 26" tire will still be a 26" tire, whether it's on 18s, 19s or 20s. That is THE only thing that will change the interaction between RPM and gearing.

With boost, you want to go down with gearing, not up. The car makes enough torque with boost that going to a numerically lower gearing actually improves acceleration, by increasing the speed before the next gear. By holding first and second gears longer before the shift to third, acceleration is improved.

Wow I didnt realize that the stock configuration for the 350z was 255/45 rear tires which changes everything, thank you! 🙏

Wouldn't the higher gears feel more sluggish as others prior have stated unless you are running boost on a built block?

That would be why I said, "with boost".
