Really i just have a question about the comment in July where OP state this setup was being duplicated on a customers 04' 350z... Any progress on that or pics of that engine bay? Thank you

It's running! We took the motor out and put it on our test stand to take it to the engine dyno. But the place where we engine dyno had problems with his pump. So we ended up putting the engine back in the car last weekend. We plan to take it to the chassis dyno this week. Updates will follow.

First dyno graph. We had to quit because we were having tire problems on the dyno. Will throw on a new set of wheels/tires next week and go back at it. But here is what we got and the quest for 1000+ hp VQ is near!

seems kinda lazy for a GTX4708R (the 75.8mm version) on a 4.1L. Is that the powerband you expected??

How about a graph with whp vs rpm and a TQ curve while you are at it

just remembered, I'd assume this is also with a Z transmission, but since its not a Z, I'm not sure.

But in a Z in 4th with a 3.5 FD and ~26" tire breaks down like this
70 4000
80 4600
90 5200
100 5800
105 6000
110 6400
115 6600
120 6900

This is actually through a powerglide with a 3.54 rear gear. We dynoed in high gear. The car squatted so hard it smoked the tire on the top side of the wheel well. We only revved it to 6k. It's running 28" tall tires on an S14 chassis which is pretty big. Going to have some 26s on it for the next dyno session. But the tune seems well enough for the track just on wastegate, so we may take it to the track this week. Sorry for the slow updates, we been really busy in the shop.

I'll get the torque next time. Just that run the rpm was losing signal so the HP/TQ graph looked all messed up. But it was over 600ft-lbs on that run.

Finally got some time to do some testing. We had to change the suspension setup and add weight to make it 3150lbs. Going from an SR20 with a 5 speed to a VQ with a powerglide only added 100lbs to the car. This pass was at 25#s. The next pass broke the trans on the line. We plan to race at the event in West Palm Beach next weekend. So hopefully we can get some vids.

Nice run. I keep forgetting this isn't a Z... but sick motor. Are you using a stock Z diff?
