Hey man no hard feeling, I dont kno u but Im sure ur a knowledgeable guy.. I like ur work!! Not taking that away from u...
If someone was to bash u ,U have my word Id come to defend jus the same anytime brother.....
In all honesty the best post that Ive seen was wen u theorized what might have happened.. Till that point no one had a clue...
The best answer in all honesty is that possibly PM flashed it back to stock shortly before pulling it off the dyno...
But y not take the car for a ride, n check out driveability. They would have seen it immediately running rich, then plugged in live and saw what was going on.. Perhaps made a few pulls to see how the power came on??? I dont kno jus a thought...
Dont most tuners test drive the vehicles after putting their stamp on it?
I kno I dont leave a house after installing a toilet without flushing it !
And I kno they drove the car cause somebody had to leave it in the parking lot with the keys dashed under it, then call Russel n tell him ur car is in the lot come get it wen u want!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us,,, Id swear if I didnt kno u had a relationship with them Id think u were talking in this thread for them
Seriously we all appreciate the input from you and others who have taken the time out to get involved...

Whoa! Ok, where do I start here?
Lets start off with an honest apology regarding to the late response on this thread. It has been a very busy couple of months with the time attack series and track days that we participate on, hence the lack of time being on the forums or the local meets.
It is unfortunate that I do not have my username as a vendor, i cleaned out my sent pm's awhile ago and can't copy and show some of the messages that I sent to the OP.
Russell- I do remember your disgruntled comments regarding our shop on some other threads a while back, and I have sent you 2 or more pm's stating to call or come by so that we can take a look at the problems you were having so that we can address/ or fix it. After you got your car back no one at the shop has heard back from you. The only thing that we ever heard from you was the posts you made on other threads. We have a 10,000 sq foot facility that won't be disappearing anytime soon. So why would I leave you high and dry without any support? I'm normally out with the local guys and been on the scene since the Z came out. I'm even surprised by the amount of negative comments and backing by a couple of members here who have been at the shop and at the meets. Shared a beer or two with some of you guys. We have NEVER been known to shy away from standing behind our work. Been in the industry long enough to know that one bad deed will ruin a hundred good ones. BUT we cannot solve a problem if you don't say something or come by. Instead you try and blast us on a public forum.
Your car was absolutely tuned at the shop. We weren't confident in scaling the bigger injectors back then because we wanted to keep your car very streetable, idle nicely and start up everytime you get in it. Its still a stock HR and we didnt want to go aggressive on it. We tune 1-2 cars DAILY. We tune the most dyno pro tunes for UPREV in North America. No one else ever had a problem or major complaint. Would I say we were perfect with all of them? Absolutely not. But I can say that every customer has been satisfied or at least have no bad things to say. We always call up to check up on customers and see how their cars are doing. I remember Nigel, who was our front guy back then, contacting you and stating that you were very happy with the car. That was approx 2 days after the car was picked up. You were even reminded about your tires being bald and showing metal already, and to be careful driving the car, especially since it made 437whp. The car had multiple issues before we even tuned it. The biggest one that I can recall was the fuel pressure issue. I have attached a copy of your invoice for proof that you weren't even charged for it. Who ever did the fuel pump install on the car didnt do it properly and we were losing fuel pressure on the first pull. We re-did the fuel pump and also found that an o-ring was pinched. Thats not on your bill. We spent more than a day tuning it, not because we wanted to, but because we wanted to make sure it was right. We test drove it and it ran fine. There is absolutely no way that we did not tune the car. How can you possibly drive the car for a year and not blow the engine or damage it? I know you've been to a couple of dyno days as well? What was the readings on their dynos? I'm sure you would have been warned by the dyno operator if the car was not safe to drive.
How many miles are on your car now? I would love to know that, since there is a claim that you don't drive the car as much since you work in the city. Post it.
Ray and Graham, I'm shocked at the comments and attacks from you guys. I mean, granted it took a while to go through the countless pages to respond to this thread. But y'all know me, I've gone to your job to get my old Z33 detailed a couple of times before and Ray we chilled at the wednesday night meets and even had beers at applebees, youve been at the shop. Now i know you guys are R/T customers and are happy with Vince's work. More power to you, no shop can please EVERYONE. I don't beg people to come to Performance and not to others. But the constant attacks on this thread is shocking. For the attacks on Phunk, man, thats crazy. CJMotorsports has been one of the original innovators for fuel systems for the Z33 and Z34 cars. Charles has an impeccable reputation in the industry and his products have been replicated over and over other companies and shops. He was just trying to state some key points.
Charles- My apologies for you getting dragged into the lynch mob. Thanks for the heads up.
Alberto- Same thing man, thanks for the neutral comments and just trying to get the facts straight.
Attached is your invoice Russell. You were not charged for fixing the fuel pump issue and extra time on the dyno as stated. You posted the dyno sheet already. We have no clue why you did not have an UPREV license or tune on your car when you got to R/T, but apparently Davindra still has his. You waited a whole year to bring this up, and even now you never made the attempt to come by and let us look at or fix the car. How can we fix or resolve something that we were never aware of?

damn sorry to hear OP... Never was a fan of PM, I tried to get my car tuned there back when i had the turbo, and they warned me it would blow on the dyne and there customer service sucks.imo. I was also on 800cc DW inj.
I think the first 800cc vince tuned for the uprev was on my Z and he did a great job on it. He scaled them perfect and then mastered the map.. bet its the same base map

no.. actually.. its too bad for.... YOU
i just blew your mind.
But youre right, theres always AAM, theres ebay, and theres GTM copies of our parts. Go ahead and choose freely If someone was going to buy ours, I dont think they would change their mind because I, without substancial evidence of fraud, will give PM the benefit of doubt. I cannot make any guarentees about what happened one way or the other, just trying to make sense of it all.

ray seems like you got a serious vendetta against us. Whatever it is,its fine. You guys go to R/T and no one is swaying you from that. To state that we are scamming russell? please, like i said, the shop is here, no one is running and no one is hiding. Only time i have gotten a phone call from russell is when he was already at R/T. other than that not since he last year.
Unfortunately, customer service has not been perfect lately, i can only say that between our race team and two prior failed attempts at finding someone to handle customer service has been unsuccessful. to that I offer a serious apology.

You created that invoice on 10/06/2010. You invoiced me on 10/21/2011. My car got "tuned" on 10/23/2010.

First off lets set the record straight, I have no personal experience good or bad with Performance Motor Sport. Alex I was only defending a friend as I would defend anyone in a similar situation..
I was there wen u guys told Russel u couldnt tune his car that day, sayin that yall were outta time then thru some other kids car on the dyno right after sayin that.. At that time the injectors were never mentioned... It was only after he picked up the car that he called me and told me that u guys couldnt scale down the 800s and sold him 440s that I said anything negative... In any event I didnt make the calls after Russel says he did.. You say he didnt, either way he was left with a bad taste in his mouth and didnt prolly didnt want to deal with PM any longer....
I was there last week wen u guys put him on hold, infact I remember making a joke as he was dialing saying that you guys would prolly put him on hold n never get back to him....
In the end Alex its one mans feeling towards PM that matters and since no one has contacted him since last friday wen he made the call and PM was notified he went on to the next step..
Now that he has ur attention U can defend ur shop.... But dam Y did it have to escalate to this???
Alex ur a cool **** thats no lie...We talked at meets, Bee's etc. But the problem isnt with u or anything to do with having beers with u.. Infact we can get up anytime... I was in Great Neck last night!
The problem is this man felt left high and dry....
Im not puttin PM on blast for scamming Im jus sayin their customer service is weaksauce!
U agree on that?
He's jus informing others of his SHITTY experience with TheExperience.com
He's entitled to that...
At this point what can u do to make it better? Really , prolly nothing....
Again this is not a personal attack on u Alex, we can still catch up at meets, get a drink w.e.
This is one mans horrible tuning story.

A little off topic, but 350zion, why would you want to have beer with someone when you are calling their personal integrity into question? If I truly believed someone operated a shady business on the backs of customers, I wouldn't want anything to do with them.
It makes it SEEM (not for sure) like you're saying "no offense, dude" right after punching him in the throat.
Curious about that date issue on the bill, though.

Its like lets say U live in New York New Jersey, The tolls jus went up so everyones mad at the Port Authority, would u stop hanging out with me cause the company I work for scams people????
Same SHlT!
He's alright by me, jus wish they would of reacted to things a little different..
In Russels defense he felt he couldnt trust them with his car, so rather then make a stink about it he bsaically wrote them off,,,Fast forward a year later and he finds out that the car wasnt tuned at this time wat does anyone expect him to say???
Yea maybe he jumped the gun, but he reached out to them as soon as he found out...
Again ill ask this question thjo....
How come nobody test drove the car and saw AFR running rich as hell???
Isnt that common practice????
Assuming that yes , the ecu was reflashed back to stock by mistake....Giving PM the benefit of doubt.....

^^^ there is no date issue, someone is very confused.
According to that invoice, it was made 10/21/2010. If they tuned his car on the 23rd, then that means 2 days later they tuned his car. Alex is pointing out that they didnt add anything more to the invoice after it ended up taking longer to tune.
as for what it says about 10/6, it says that was the print date, and it says 2011 not 2010... cause thats TODAY, he printed it today to post it here.

It looks like their saying they did him a favor by not charging extra for the time but dam man, the guy was patient with them from the first day, O wait customer service is nearly non existent...

We posted earlier in the thread that he did go to t and r dyno day..can't remember what he made.... less than what pms dyno was though....and alex, man how can u say we never reached out to you? We've both called and was placed on hold and no calls were returned. We live 2hrs or so away, should we have drove down and then been told to come back at another date again?

What was so shocking about my comments? I didn't personally attack you, I said I've never done any business with PM except with Alex and it had nothing to do with my car. Nobody dragged Phunk into the lynch mob he brought his own rope when he denied PM at first but whatever.

So a year after my horrible experience with Performance Motosports, I'm still getting screwed by them. So incase you guys haven't heard about my story before, check out these two links to catch up.
https://my350z.com/forum/8979190-post72.html
https://my350z.com/forum/9234417-post34.html
So now, fast forward to last Friday (09/30/2011). Me and a couple of friends (06z33, trynalivepro, 350zion and etz) hit up R/T Tuning. 06z33 went to get his Turbonetics setup tuned for the first time, and I went to get my TT setup retuned.
So the 800cc injectors that Performance Motorsports said they couldn't tune were sitting inside my car for a while. I decided to put them into the car before I got it retuned. I never touched these injectors since Performance took them out my motor and replaced them with the 440cc's they made me buy. They put my injectors in a ziplock bag and put it away in the compartment behind the passenger seat for me.
So I'm getting the 800cc injectors installed and it turns out one of the injectors is missing a clip. Performance did another shitty job while removing those injectors and screwed one up. I purchased those injectors about a year ago, and they've stopped making that specific model since. I was forced to buy a new set since I couldn't get a replacement for that specific one. So that's already $600.00 added to my bill because of Performance Motorsports.
I'm already pissed as is, but that's not even the bad part. Here's where **** get's really effed up. So my car goes on the dyno getting ready to be tuned. We're all watching from the window in anticipation. So the tuner gets out the car and comes into the office, I'm thinking in my head, please don't let it be bad news.
So he asks me if my car was tuned before, I replied yes.
He asked me if i was positive that it was tuned? I said yeh, it was tuned by Performance Motorsports last year. I have the dyno sheet for the tune at home.
So I asked him why? what's going on?
He said that he plugged the computer in and the software is telling him that my car has a stock ecu, it was never reflashed. He carries me to the computer and he shows me. It said "stock ecu".
I'm freaking heated right now, like boiling with anger. I called up Alex from Performance Motorsports and ask him what's the deal.
He said "what do you mean your car is stock, we have the roms right here in our system for your car."
I gave the phone to the tuner and let him talk to Alex. So after they talk, I ask the tuner what did he say. He said Alex told him that I must've took the car to a dealership and they reset my ECU to stock.
REALLY? ARE EFFIN YOU KIDDING ME? I took my salvage, highly modified car to a freaking dealership to get serviced? How retarded can those people at Performance be. That's the stupidest excuse you can come up with?
Those guys are scum. I paid $1600.00 at Performance for what? For them to install injectors that I didn't need. I've been driving my car around on a stock ECU for an entire year! Thank god I don't abuse my car, my motor could've suffered drastically.
I had to pay an additional $300 for an Uprev License that I SHOULD'VE ALREADY HAD. I'm guessing that they also gave me a fake dyno sheet as well stating that I made 437whp.
I advise you to spread this around and make sure nobody ever does business with this shady company again. Hopefully
you never have to go through what I went through. I'll be posting this on as many forums as I can.
