Default VDC Slip, Now car won't Start

Hay Guys,

Was out doing a Tuning Run Tonight. Did 2 Hard 3rd gear runs.

First Run with VDC ON, had to get in and out of the Throttle, major tire spin.

Second Run with VDC ON, eased on Throttle less tire spin, ran it to redline, got out of the throttle, VDC Light and Slip Light came on and Stayed on. Car was running like crap. Very Very Rich and Rough running, did not want to rev past 2000 rpm, so I pretty much just putted it home.

I shut the car off, checked codes and erased them. Of corse I did right them down....

Now, car fires then dies........

Nevermind, I Blow off the Intake...... Just didn't see it, Sorry

Any Ideas?

sounds like you blew the welds on your intake...granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should...

Car is Fine Now......

I had Wheel Spin with VDC/ON, and at the same time I blow apart the Cloupling between the MAF and 45* elbow by TB....

It was Late, I was Tired and I Erased the Codes without remembering or writing them down....

I seams to me that VDC dose not work well under continous tire spin and WOT....

Ya, I always have it OFF, but I had such extreme Tire Spin I thought I'd try it with it on. It does not work, like you said.... Thank God I'm 99% done with tuning....

Tuning is NEVER done LOL it can always be better. At least SC there is less to deal with tuning wise so you have that going.

Hey I'm now having the same problem to. Did you ever figure out what might be causing the malfunction. My car will not stay running now only if I push on the gas but is running like dog poo..

Theres a way to default the vdc to not turn on when your car starts. You can put a toggle switch in that when off will not allow it to come on when car is started. But if you want it on you can switch the toggle over, but you have to shut the car off first.

Jusy FYI if you werent aware of that already

just unplug the yaw sensor box. all the good ems's have traction control built in, so no need for redundancy.
