It is 1067 HP indeed.

Pump gas with 3000 cc/min straight meth injected in two stages. No more water for me.

Replaced broken input shaft and 5th gear syncro which was bad for years, it it's good as new now.
But, meanwhile..

Yea yea yea … I'll message them tomorrow.

I put the little red Z33 up on FB Marketplace and OMG - everyone and their brother is interested in it … or I priced it too low … but I think I'm gonna sell it and use the funds elsewhere.

Past two weekends a buddy needs some custom welding and his car is completely immobile so I packed up the pickup and did a few custom pieces for him. He's got an LS swapped turbo Z33 on e85, tuning with HP Tuners - the thing will rip!

And, finally got the car out today for a little Sunday morning burner (burner, as in fn hot outside at 11am) nothing too crazy - I throttle ripped the car a few times and it did well ...

Nice, crossing my fingers for you.

Despite the world issues, my tuner is booked to hell. So I ripped the sun-baked interior and learning how to carbon fiber everything. Pretty fun but time consuming.

Hoping no luck is needed!

Yea - for some reason (probably corona) it doesnt seem like tuning shops are all that busy...

tuning update...

Monday afternoon and evening a buddy and I were doing the pre-dyno stuff and we noticed cylinder #4 spark plug looked essentially new - like wtf new...so we did some diagnostics with the Link and the coil and plug were fine but the injector was not firing. With stress levels through the roof we traced the wire back through the subharness and into the main harness and determined it was the connection between the EV1 injector connector and the spliced connection between the OEM wire and the connector pigtail. so I re-do this connection and the injector starts working. Everything is working. Deep breaths and head off to bed.

Wake up and do a final round of checks before heading out and everything is going well. The car runs rich until it gets warmed up and otherwise drives fine. I get the car over to the shop and they've been crazy busy with prep'ing for an event in Minnesota and they had three cars scheduled for the day so I just dropped it off. They didn't like how I had my waste gates plumbed (and I don't blame them, I have them plumbed sorta backwards) and they wanted them plumbed in the more traditional / industry standard way (which I get) and I happily did. I also had a loose fitting on my boost control solenoid so I bought a new solenoid and new fittings and got it plumbed in and back over to the shop. The owner inspects and gives me the blessing and we aim to tune on Wednesday.

Wednesday comes and goes and I dont hear anything from them and I told them not to stress about my car and get ready for the event - no big deal.

Thursday late morning I get a call saying that cylinder #4 isnt firing, not a coil or spark plug but not firing. I do a quick explanation that it's likely the subharness as that's what I just had issues with Monday night and I'd figure it out. I stopped by the shop to sort out the harness and (again) used the link to test fire the coils/spark plugs and injectors and nothing from cylinder #4 injector. Swap cylinder #2's plug on injector #4 and it fires...so big picture I gotta rebuild the injectors subharness. So the shop has EV6 injector connectors and spec wire and the owner throws me an deal on everything and I'll rebuild the subharness by next week. In the meantime, I need to get the car home and I know cylinder #4 wiring is funky so I bypass the OEM wire and re-route the injector's low-side wire (that connects to the ECU) and everything is working. I get the car home and call it a night.

I'll rebuild the subharness over the next few days and put some test miles on it.

Im gonna drop the car off middle of next week and they'll tune me when they have an open window …

to be continued...

I am interested in more details on how you had it vs how they wanted it.

I had my boost reference hooked up to my to the top chamber of my waste gates plumbed through my boost control solenoid and the bottom chambers opened to atmosphere. Essentially - my waste gates use a pretty soft springs (like 4psi springs) and I was pushing 100% (or whatever duty cycle the solenoid dictates) of my boost reference to the top chamber to keep them closed at higher than spring pressure. Well, they want them plumbed in the traditional sense.

As I think about it, I did get a second set of springs with the waste gates and they are 8psi I believe...so I might drop them in before I take my car back.
