We'll make it work. It may not look the coolest, but I told them I wanted a functional car first, and a cool stance second. So they'll keep lifting the car higher and adjusting the camber until it all works together.

And on the MAFs, I read a lot on the 370 forum about this setup and a few of them had problems with the MAF readings and the double- draw thru design, but the 350HR kit is slightly different and has been more consistent. JTran is recommending this kit to a lot of their DD customers, and having great success with it. I don't know of anyone who has pushed it very hard yet though. I probably won't be the first since I'm on a stock motor and Trans. One local guy is making 450WHP or so (AWD Mustang Dyno), and fried his 5AT. I'm going to be watching him closely to see what he breaks, and I'll decide if more boost is worth it or not. I have no power goals or expectations from this kit, other than to start when I turn the key. I don't even care what the Dyno says. It's gonna feel like a monster compared to my 266WHP with just bolt-ons. 3.69 gears, traction, proper suspension setup, and Transgo alone would probably be enough for me. The Vortech blower is gonna put it over the top!

I'm done rambling now. It's really early.

Since he is on coils just raise the car up enough to counter squat. It won't look that bad.

I got SPC camber arms and toe-bolts installed at the same time as the Coilovers. That's what NTB in Conroe screwed up. That should be enough to make everything work. If not, then ill be selling a pair of 305 R888s and looking for a similar compound pair of 275s. It'll turn out right one way or another. Nothing a little overtime won't fix. Ha ha.

What they screw up? I'm bias towards SPL but SPC will work too.

I honestly wouldn't know what they did wrong, even if I could see under my car. My understanding was the toe-bolts were installed wrong, and the alignment/spring rate setup was garbage. The BCs aren't a normal coilover in the rear. They are more like a stock setup, but with adjustable spring perches and adjustable length shock body. Setting them up correctly is way over my head, and NTBs too.

I work 14 on and 14 off, but it often turns into 21 on and 7 off.

I'm pretty low right now, but they'll keep bumping it up until it fits. A paintless dent-repair guy is stopping by the shop today, hopefully he can tweak my fenders to make some more room. He already fixed a horrible door ding I had. The dude is really good.

PM me when you are in town. I've been going to Royal Purple Raceway with my bro-in-law about every other month. We've been talking about hitting a few events around town. He's been to the Texas Mile a few times, and I want to go with him next time.

I'm going to do my best to be home for the Mile. That is what I want to run.

Tuned in pretty close man. Looking forward to your results. Car looks great! 14-14 do you work offshore? I work offshore but 28-14 unfortunately. As you mentioned it has a way of turning into 42-12 or something pretty quick.

I'm with you man. It is great to walk into a shop with the validity of JTran Studios, and see nothing of the owner but his shoes sticking out from under a customer's car. Ha ha. They are great. I have nothing but good to say about them. They have put up with all my, "Well I read on my350Z.com that I should...." comments. And they have yet to call me a jackass. I tend to get off-track, and they keep the project realistic.

On land. I head out again Wednesday. I hope I get to drive it by then. I'm having trouble tracking down my Water-Meth system. Damn USPS.

I just got the car home. It made 409 rwhp and just scraped 300 rwtq. Made about 9 psi. AWD Mustang Dyno and about 96 deg outside. I'll throw up a chart later if I get one. I'm not too concerned with the numbers, but it would be cool to see my new lines laid over my old 266 dyno.

First gear is completely useless. Every time I try to get into boost I just break loose and tag the rev limiter. I don't see myself needing more power for a while. I'm still on 370Z wheels and 285 street tires, because my 305s wouldn't fit without rolling the fenders. Still rocking the 3.3 FD due to time. When I get back from work this time Ill get the 3.69 FD & R888s on and see how the car feels with traction.

JTran Studios kicks ase. The whole experience has been great. I'll never go anywhere else.

Nice dude! Awesome numbers save for torque. I guess the A/T eats some of that? The 3.69 gears would hurt your traction wouldn't they being you are putting more torque to the wheels?

Congrats on the new power. First gear shouldn't be useless. Now it time to re-learn the car. In due time you'll learn to feather the clutch and gas. The R888's will help but I took me a some milage to burn off all the molding oils on them. So don't get discourage when you mount them. Be safe, enjoy and next time I'm home we'll go have some fun.

That TQ is right where I expected it. The Vortech seems to put out about 100 less ft/lbs than rwhp. That's about the average I've seen. And as far as the gears, I've already bought the entire pumpkin. So it's not a big deal to swap it back if its too much gear. They are both factory LSD, so ill eventually add a Quaife to whichever ratio I like the best. I can only speculate until I actually try both.

Thanks man, and you are exactly right. I am already getting better at driving in first. But if I try to get well into boost I'm immediately bouncing off the rev limiter. My meth is set to spray at 5psi, and I can't even get enough traction to activate the meth system. (I'm an Auto...don't tell anyone. Ha ha)

Sounds good man. Next time I'm home ill get the fenders rolled and the Weds/R888s stuffed in there. Then ill be headed to the track to lose to some more mustangs!!
