I'm having idler pulley trouble right now. The 3" I bought is rubbing the block. I have to find a 2.5" before we can get it on the dyno for tuning.

They look smaller then I pictured in my head. I got 13" front/rear so I would have more wheel options for later. For some reason I change wheels a lot...Auto ADD I guess.

I had the 14 inch front and 12.66 rear. I didn't want to go smaller than an 18, so th 14 inch rotor was fine.

I had XXR 521 18x10.5 +25 up front and I had to buy thin nuts for the fake 2 peice fasteners to clear the caliper from the bolts that I also had to shave down, but after I did that I never had a problem and they looked awesome inside that wheel

Please excuse the rims, but it shows how my wilwoods filled out an 18

This should be the last power upgrade for a while. Here are the comparison dynos.

Last Year: Filters, TP, 3" Exhaust, No Tune VS. Same + Uprev.

Most Recent: Stillen HR S/C (SCi @ 49K RPMs), Meth, and JTran Tune VS. Same + Cog pulleys (SCi @ 56K RPMs).

All comparisons should be apples to apples. Hot motor, hot temps, Texas July, same dyno.

EDIT: The run with the cog pulley was cut short do to the belt trying to walk off the cogs. My current idler pulley is 3" OD, and the lip had to be shaved down some for clearance. Now the belt is trying to walk over the lip at high rpms. A 2.5" OD Lipped idler pulley is being machined right now to solve the problem. Then next week we will be able to see a full run with the new setup and a cleaned-up tune.

Oh yeah, and the bad news. My 305mm R888s still did not fit after the fender roll, so I'm selling all four including the 235 fronts. I had to order a set of Nitto NT-05s in 275/245.

All you needed was some negative camber... There are guys running 305s on the front of the Z.

Dont get me wrong. It can be done on my car too. But, I don't see any point in running so much negative camber that I end up with a 305mm tire making only 100mm of contact with the asphalt. I bought the wrong offset wheel to be running such a wide tire. It would be completely non-functional. Might look cool, but not worth ruining a set of tires. With a 275mm tire, hopefully I'll get a 275mm contact patch and good tread life.

Nice torque gain! Fitting big tires on the Z is all about correct width and offset, I don't know what your wheel offset and width is but a 305 is very possible but a tight fit, and I do believe a R888 is a wider tire compared to others

Congrats. And there are plenty of 350Z owners running a 305/30-19x10.5 +15.

Thanks man. But what is their camber? That is what I'm trying to avoid. All I can speak for is my car. The setup did not fit my goals.

Need to ask the guys that are running it. Remember... It doesn't "have" to fit "inside" the wheelwell. Even mine poke out some and are only flush with the fender at it top center point. I prefer a square alignment like what you're going for.

Nothing new FI, but here is some eye candy.

The Rear Diffuser and idler pulley should be installed tomorrow. Then touch up the tune and its done.
