Default Stillen HR S/C

I dropped my car off earlier in the week at JTran Studios in Houston. They are great to work with. They have put up with my indecisiveness for months now. I have gone thru at least 7-8 different FI estimates, and they still answer all of my questions and keep me from getting too sidetracked. I finally just had to hand over my debit card and let them do their job.

So here's how its gonna go:
Stillen S/C
Aero 340 LPH
GTR Injectors
Water-Meth system
Custom tune
Transgo
Trans Cooler
Oil Cooler
3.69 VLSD FD
Defi Guages
Innovate Wideband
WedsSport SA-55M 19x9.5/10.5
Set of R888s

Progression since last Summer.

Thats all for now. Hope to be driving it in two weeks.

They've been a huge help, all the way from supporting mods to tires and suspension. I got my Coilovers installed at NTB from their self proclaimed "Nissan Guru", and after 10 seconds of seat time the JTran bunch noticed they were installed wrong and set up like crap. I've been driving the car like that for months and I didn't know.

It's nice to hand your car over to someone who's gonna take the time to make the parts work, not just slap them on and swipe your Visa. I'm going to JTran for everything from now on. All the way from FI to scheduled maintenance.

Car is coming together. Added a couple of things to the list as we went along. Only snag is the intake manifold from Stillen. It should be in by Monday if we are lucky! If it keeps going smoothly, I'll be driving it next Wednesday!

Only picture I have for now. Not much to look at yet.

Small update: everything is together except the Stillen intake manifold and the Water-Meth system. Both are in the mail and should arrive tomorrow. Tweaking suspension now to get these big ace wheels and tires to fit.

More pictures tomorrow when I finally make it home.

you have E85 al over Houston. Dump that crappy meth kit and get on the E85. make a ton more power while being safer, and much less money

Maybe next go-round. This will already be the fastest car I've ever driven. Still have a lot to learn.

Also, I haven't seen much E85, or else I've never paid attention. I live out in the sticks.

Update:

Still waiting on the Stillen manifold. Then to the Dyno for tuning. It's getting very close. Ron is awesome. He walked me around the car and showed me his install top to bottom. He treats the cars like his own, and the attention to detail is awesome. He is very proud of his work, and eager to show it off. Great shop.

Thanks man. How the heck did you get the 305s to fit? I read a few of your threads and got your same tires. They stick out way too far on my car. I may sell the rears and try to find a 275-285. Hopefully they can't get them to fit without rubbing.

Offset is key. I'm running a 19x11 +25 with KW V3 coils and SPL camber arms.

Yeah...I knew it was gonna be rough fitting a 10.5" wheel with +15 offset, but I'm impatient and that was the only offset RavSpec had in stock. I started out shopping for Avant Garde, then made my way to Enkei, and finally landed on Weds. If I have to, I'll crank up the coils in the rear until I wear this pair out.

Yeah +15, 305 set-up is very aggressive and almost more for the track/auto-x and not street. Could always add the Seibon +10mm CF rear fenders. I've thought about doing that but I didn't want to run spacers with my HREs.

I drove by there today to check everything out. It's not as bad as we thought. I'm just gonna be forced to run a little more camber than I wanted. It looks crazy though. I love it...as long as it doesn't rub.

So is that Stillen kit for a HR or is it for the 370z VHR? And how much power did it make on the dyno through the auto?

I would get a set of SPL rear camber arms so you don't have to run a lot of camber. Square set-up FTW!

Since he is on coils just raise the car up enough to counter squat. It won't look that bad.

It is the kit for the HR. They are almost identical though. The intake piping is the only difference that stands out to me. It hasn't been on the dyno for tuning yet.
