Very cool DIY project man!

I am heavily looking into the V3 SCi.
Your thread has definitely helped tip
the scales in its favor.

***UPDATE***

I just purchased my CoolingMist Trunkmount Water/Methanol Injection Kit. Once it gets here I'll take a few pics of the products and install and retune in the middle or ending of next month.

50/50 mixture

make sure you have enough jets to drop your AFR by 1 point.

dont see a progressive controller or safety flow meter though.

spend more time saving money for those instead of worrying about mixture ratio

Will do. I think that would be a smarter move. Haste makes waste, HP bug keeps on biting me and causing me to chase moar power (Reliably mind you) lol I was leaning towards the denatured alcohol and distilled water mix but I'll go with 50/50 water and meth since its proven many times to work reliably. Thanks for the advice.

--UPDATES--

Bought a more efficient intercooler as my AITs at 3rd gear and beyond are around 125-130 degrees in the hawaiian sun at full throttle with the stock intercoller from Vortech. The brand is from Yonaka Motorsports.

I am running a lil more lean now due to the pressure changes (from 11.3 to 12.1) at WOT, but i am retuning in a few weeks due to finally installing my Meth Kit. Pretty excitied to see my results. I wont be retuning for maximum power, just for knock/detonation protection. My controller will be starting spray at 5 PSI and max at 10.

---UPDATES---
Retuned last night with my cooling mist water methanol injection system and intercooler upgrade. I used 100% methanol as my mixture of choice, and by doing that I yielded results I still could not believe on a 3.12 pulley. I am still in shock on how much I made, and still using stock headers.

436 whp / 368 tq with my Meth map, 417 whp / 351 tq w/o meth. The Meth injection map had a little rough topend, im assuming the stock maf is to blame for the small dives in the powerband near redline but all and all from my 396whp/329tq baseline soo many gains were made across the powerband. Id like to thank Seth at Rad Motorsports here in Hawaii for spending more time on this tune.

The car feels amazing and scares me all over again, gonna be buying a new Uprev maf next year and retuning afterwards to hopfully help smooth out the topend.

Yea, that's a good move. On my racetune, gains up to 20+ whp and tq alone with the intercooler upgrade were seen on the entire powerband. Just goes to show how much the stock intercooler was hurting performance.

Figured id share with you all on a current situation I had been trying to diagnose for a week now. Since ive been getting 10-11 psi readings with my boost gauge on my 3.12 pulley with meth injection, ive been gettting 4th and 5th gear spark blowout due to the cylinder pressures. The symptoms were a bit strange. Pulls strong to about 6100rpm then start to bog almost like its being too flooded with fuel which i know is not true with my AFR locked on 11.5 the whole way. I bought new plugs and gapped them to .035 last night. I tested my Z out this morning heading to work and no more blowout or bogging at high rpm in those gears. These were with NGK one step colder plugs, too. I will be testing the car again if the same results return.

Did you replace the plugs with the same plugs or go to a colder plug? I'm running the ngk one step colder in mine also.

Ironic enough, the ones I had in my car are NGK iridiums regulars. When i went to a local auto parts store they claimed they were 1 step colder so i didnt give it much thought. Im glad they didnt end up failing on me before I found out. I ordered New ones online, Part# LFR6AIX-11, Then gapped them accordingly.

Soo all in all, I learned my lesson, also to not trust the customer service at O'reillys Auto Parts stores anymore.

Got some new rubber for the rear, Toyo Proxes R888's (305 35 18). Looks extremely aggressive from the rear for sure. Stood outside my house just looking at my Z with my wife wondering what the heck was wrong with me, lol. Tires perform great as their reputation holds true being a R compound. 2nd gear hooks very well compared to the Sumitomo HTRs that were just horrible. Night and day difference.

Waiting on my Injected Performance Differential Brace to come in a few days so i can ditch the useless Megan Toe Rod. Pics coming soon.

The number in that line of spark plug coincides with the heat level
5 is normal
6 is one colder
7 is two colder

Also you're not supposed to touch the gap on Iridium's especially NGK, so not sure who told you to be gapping them.

I researched what "spark blowout" was and learned the cause of it happening. When I took the old plugs out at least three of them were at .050, which is way too spaced out anyway and they all looked a bit warn. Since then, There have been no issue with spark blowout after getting new one step colder plugs and gapping them. Soo, Im not worried about it anymore because the problem is fixed.

Nice job on your "Z." Hope you don't mind if I steal some of your ideas. Not smart enough or have the time so I will be getting someone to do my work. I am looking a getting a short block from Z1. Already have a Twin turbo sitting in storage waiting for and engine.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. And no problem, steal away lol, ive gotten this far reading everyone elses build threads and progression on this site and ive gotten this far because of the information i learned on here from guys before me. I will be PCSing to Texas in April and plan on building my motor as well for the sake of being able to beat on my car without wondering if today will be the day the motor will give. Good luck to you. Being Turbo, you will make plenty of power once you build the engine, way more than me.
