Default Safe boost level slave engine

Hi
Currently I blow 17psi on 98oct and I have 610hp is this safe to go with 21 psi on 100oct? My aim is ~700hp. Engine vq is slaved, pistons compresion 8:5.1, greddy tt 18g any experience with high boost? Unfortunatley I dont have external map sensor only base in haltech platinium

Hp starts falling off quick at less than 6200 rpm.

Don't know what's going on, but with the 272 cams it should pull well beyond 7000rpm. and maybe past 7500rpm

Could be running out of Fuel? Or out of Turbos?

Got a Boost Curve for those runs?

Fuel is not a problem we have significant reserve. When we started increase boost I notice two main issues. First was misfiring, probably related with sparks or coils. This I can fix by swapping “9” instead “7” or increasing coils timings in Haltech. Unfortunately the car didn’t want to make hp on higher boost maybe this is matter of temperature or turbo’s. maybe good idea would be installing methanol injection? Anybody had similar problems with higher boost? What can be other reasons? Unfortunately I don’t have the boost curve but boost is growing across the curve so the biggest should be on the end

Plug gap needs to be about .032", that could be an Issue.

If you think you need Met, Why? Retarded the timing more, or better yet, just put in some VP C16 that Octane was a problem.

So are you saying HP fell off at 6200rpm because of Spark Misfire?

I don’t know if the reason was spark misfire but I notice that when I increase boost car started losing spark on at least one cylinder and worked unevenly. I thought that was coils fault but maybe this is matter of spark gaps I got #7 with 0.02 gaps maybe I should install #9?? In intake temperature is on the level of 89F that’s why I thought about methanol injection

I doubt it's the turbo. The MHI 18g can move about 400whp worth of air per compressor when paired with an 05h turbine in a 7cm² housing, I believe the Greddy TT kit uses 8cm² housings which should push that a little higher.

Definitely keep an eye out for surge at higher boost on that compressor though- it has the same dip in the surge line as the 20g above ~18psi. It's not as bad as the 20g (it has a smaller rotor ratio), but the potential is there, especially above 20psi. It will be worse at high altitude.

You need race gas/or methanol, good cams, (you have the fuel) and a good tuner to get you 700whp on the Greddy 18G's.

Its possible.
