Make sure your wideband bungs are slightly higher so that the moisture condensation build up can drip off the 02 sensor or else they will be short lived.

So back to the A/C project:

I got this ac hose and fitting kit on ebay as well as some aluminum tubing to make the lines i need .

I used a tubing bender to make this line then welded it to the factory line

Wish me luck everyone . I'm getting this monster tuned tomorrow! Going to see how it does on pump at wastegate pressure first then if all goes well we'll feed it some nice ignite red.

oh yes I will definately have the camera rolling !

By the way I know you and some others were wondering about heat with this new radiator and fan setup. I have the fan set to turn on at 200 degrees and it shuts off at 192 degrees and it cycles on and off no problem. I havn't had any issue with heat at all so far. It actually cools down extremely quick. Within seconds the fan will shut off and car will go as low as 190. And this is also at a stand still just idleing with the hood closed (no vents) and also cruising around. I'm sure if I wanted to cool it even further I think it could. I'll have to see how it does during the power pulls. This is actually the coldest I've ever been able to maintain this car. Granted this is in 40 degree weather. I'll also have to see how it likes the hot summer days.

Fans are only functional below 30mph...if you're driving faster than 30mph fans are only getting in the way...

you also have to give that heated air an escape route - consider venting your hood (if you like) if your engine bay temps get high...that heat has to go somewhere.

my plenum was too hot to touch before I vented my hood, after, my plenum is ambient temp...all that heat soaks into your intake and artificially heats your intake air temps robbing your engine of timing and thus horsepower...

I don't like hood pins or vents ... I had skeptism before installing mine but people tell me they look good - which I smile & nod.

and I had no choice on hood pins...

Nice build man just took the time to read through all this. I have a question... I'm going to change a few things up on my car before race season hits and looking for suggestions. I need to find a 4qt overflow tank that will actually fit somewhere with the Greddy twin kit any suggestions on that? The plastic Greddy overflow bottle isn't cutting it and Im pretty sick of burping it every few weeks. Also doin some changes with my exhaust. I think I have some restriction at the muffler so I'm going to try and find a location to weld in some cutouts. My car has twin FP blacks and didnt do as well on the Dyno as I had hoped. The 20g's made 527whp and 554wtq @16psi on a mustang dyno. Same Dyno with FP blacks first pull on 20psi made 520whp and 602wtq. Touched up the fuel map and added 1° of timing and ended at 575whp 575wtq. Time to play find the restriction cause those turbos should've made 100 more whp on the boost increase alone. Also considering switching to e85 and some 2000cc injectors. Currently running pump93/VP110 mix. If you didn't know import drag solutions just came out with a rear drag coilover setup. Unfortunately it is completely untested and dynosty is supposed to do some test passes with it this weekend. I'm going to play that one by ear and probably end up purchasing a set. I'm not out to break records but I want the car to work the 60ft game is difficult with this chassis so I'm willing to try anything.

okayyy people soo here it is after Hal spent all night working his magic

509/440 @ 14 lbs on 93 pump gas

632/540 @21 lbs ignite red (diluted with pump ended up only being e65)

This is on a the same mustang dyno I used last time around . Which again this is a very low number reading dyno. Its usually about 15% lower than the dynojet around here.

Last time around on the aps tt kit @12lbs I made 446/437 on pump

We couldnt go any higher in boost as the wastegate was maxed out. It was suppose to be a 14.5 lb spring but we were are actually only seeing 11lbs at wastegate.

All i have to do is get a heavier spring and then we can throw some more boost at it! But for now this is plenty enough for me to get use to!

Extremeellyyyy happy with the way the car is and can't wait to finally enjoy it after a very long year.

Boost comes in fast and very hard. It comes in at around 4k rpms. Very happy with the 6870 turbo.

Hal did a fantastic job he knows his ****!! He managed to squeeze me into his very tight schedule and seeing as how I couldn't make the 14hr trip to Kentucky he took personal family time away to help me out and did a remote session with me. A hugeeee thank you to him on that and also to the entire dynosty team!!! I highly recommend them to anyone and if your on the waiting list its worth the wait for sure!! Theres a reason why they are so busy after all!

Videos will be posted soon!

Don't feel bad, my 14lbs springs are in the 11-12 range as-well...can you run a boost controller / boost control solenoid?

Congrats & great job on the build and the numbers!

Thanks!

yes we have the solenoid we were only able to raise it to 21lbs. The rule of thump is usually u can't go more than double the gate spring which is what we saw happen.

Nice! Congrats man it will be fun I can promise you that. Do u have some slicks or drag radials? Your gonna need them haha. Mine spins at over 100mph with around the same power as yours on regular ole street tires. I just ordered some Hoosier stiff wall slicks to combat that. The 15" mickey radials worked ok for roll racing but they were no good for dig racing. Good luck with it man and nice build

I don't know much about the greddy setups but I can give you my experience with the aps tt kit

When I first had it in the car I had issues with overheating and coolant coming out of the small over flow tank when i was still on the stock radiator and fan setup.

What I noticed is the overflow would spill over alot if i didn't let the car stay running a few seconds longer to cool before shutting the car off. So since i thought turbo timers were a waste a money I just made it a habit to keep doing this. Weather or not that actually solved anything I couldn't tell you. It could have just been a coincidence. Anyway when I was done bleeding the system of any air I filled the overflow can with maybe less than a quarter of coolant. I barely put any thing in it as its a small can and easy for it to spill over when the car fills it after shutting it off. At the same time I upgraded to a koyo radiator and mishi fan shroud with 1 12in mishi fan and 1 spal 14in fan and never had any more problems. I never changed the overflow tank.

Btw I have 17 lbs worth of wastgate springs and I was seeing around 13-14psi on gate pressure. Don't feel and about that. Instead of switching springs you could run CO2 or onboard air and use a dual solenoids setup. It works well and a lot of guys swear by it.

yes im on a set of 15in mickey et streets but they arnt a good size i think the tires are too small. I didn't like them at all at the track when i was making under 400 on the aps setup. Had alot of wheel hop and 60 fts were trash. I was thinking about going with the hoosier qtp's and doing 28x11.5x15.

If anyone has a good suggestion for tires that you know work I'm all ears!

I also have a brand new set of bc coilovers with swift springs chilling in a box that i still have to put on .

I'm not feeling bad at all about the spring at all I know the car can do more but definately won't be something I can handle yet anyway so it was better off staying like this for now. I'm going to have my hands full the way it is!
