So this is how my weekend went....Found a few small at around 10 psi and got them all fixed. Tried to turn contraption up to 15 psi to look for more but at around 12.5 psi i heard a big old pop and the plastic cap went a flying. So that was the end of the weekend tests. After talking with OldManZ I ordered a Gates belt and got it as tight as the stock tensioner will allow, its is noticeably tighter than I had the old one. I need a belt that is 1/4" shorter to get it as tight as I think it needs it to be, but I was only able to find the 79.5" belt.

I will take the car to work at some point this week to see if there is any difference or if I need to fab a metal cap that can handle more than 12 psi so i can test all the way up to 20 psi.

I've also noticed I need purchase better couplers, the ones I have now are starting to balloon around 10 psi.

Tim i'm running a K060795HD belt. I wish there was a belt that was about half or quarter inch shorter belt.

Jason, It is possible to either Move or Add or Remove an Idler Pulley to achieve a Belt that gives you good Adjustment.

Also, in the Gates RPM Belt Line they have Belts that might work for you.

Here is a 79 inch Belt, 7/8" shorter that yours. This should work, but may be a little hard to get on.
In this case, you can remove an Idler pulley, then after the belt is on loose you reinstall the pulley, then adjust.
I had to do this on my New motor.

Tim,
Thanks for all the help. I looked at the RPM belt but it was more than double the price of the Green i bought.

I only took the.car out once this week and didn't do a full pull but.... The car made 18psi!

In a safe location with plenty of Oh Snap room I did a 5th gear pull. This is the results, as you can see I'm still having a boost issue. If its not one thing with this car it is another. It took 10 sec to go from 3500 to 6500 rpms, I fell that is super slow but what do I know?

I need to pull off my supercharger bracket and move the stupid pulley so that the belt is not rubbing on the vvt cover any more.

I also need to find idler pulley so I can get more tension on the belt.

I'll never buy Denso spark plugs again!!!

Now this is more than likely my own fault but still.

Tried to do a 60-130 pull (very open and safe location) and missed 5th,the spring in my shifter is a little weak so if not careful its easy to miss 5th. I did not over rev the car or nothing I actually would of short shifted the car. Any way the shifter was stuck and I was not able to pull it out so I though I grenaded my transmission. As soon as I went to hit 5th I knew I missed it so I never let the clutch out, the car ended up dying while still coasting. This is nothing new, I've had trouble with the car idling for years so thought nothing of it. Once I was able to get the car gear shifter to move I put it in 6th and let the clutch out super slow to start the car back up. I'm running maybe 60mph at this time. I noticed the car has a horrible miss so I'm thinking maybe a fuel issue or something simple. AFR's are reading fine but the car sound like a Subaru when trying to accelerate. The check engine light is flashing at me indicating multiple miss fires.

This is where I should of pulled over and investigated WTF is going on, but I limped the car the rest of the way to work about 4 or 5 miles. Once I got to work I looked around and nothing jumped out as to WTF is going on. Me and a co-worker ended up working on the car and discovered that the culprit was the #3 cylinder by removing the fuel injector pig tail and no change to the cars behavior. Now I had to figure out if it was spark or fuel. Pulled out the plug and noticed the end of the strap of the plug is gone. Crazy but not super life changing, after calling around and finding another plug co-worker and I go to pick up a new plug. On the way I noticed the porcelain is also broken, not like a little bit but like a soild inch of porcelain is missing out of the plug. Now I'm worried!!!

We start to look for a borescope (endoscope) to look for damage in the cylinder. We are unable to find one we could rent so, I decided it is not worth the risk to drive the car home. My friend went and got his trailer so we could trailer the car home. Once I got home I used my crappy endoscope to look for damage. I can not tell for sure but I think my piston took a beating . Because I was not able to tell for sure I pulled out my leak down tester. This is when my fears were confirmed, I have a slight crank case leak and a quite severe exhaust leak.

So now comes some serious self reflection time....If this engine is super messed up I am thinking of parting out the engine and supercharger system and going down the LS path.

Over the next few weeks I'll pull out my engine and start the tear down of the engine to find out WTF is going on.

TLDR: Porcelain and Spark Plug Straps beat piston and valves....

That sucks, I usually hold Denso up to a good quality standard. Which plug were you using?

This was the start of my Saturday morning.

About an two hours into my Saturday morning.

End of Saturday night.

This is about two hours into my Sunday Morning

About hour four of my Sunday morning.

This is the about hour six of my Sunday and I got the head off. And this is what I discovered.

Not sure if this is the strap or porcelain.

Also if you look at the cylinder walls you can see some vertical patches. I don't feel anything with my fingernail but still kind of worrisome.

You can see where what ever it was, made contact with the head.

Now we get to the good stuff....

As you can tell I have two bad valves.

The plan is to replace the two bad valves replace the piston and rings. Re hone the cylinder and put it back together.

I'm also going look at the bearings to see how they look. If they look bad I'll replace them if not, press on with life.

Any thoughts or inputs?

Yikes, on the bright side you don't have turbos that could've been destroyed as well. Are those score marks in the bottom of the cylinder pic or just moisture messing with the camera focus?

There is marks, but I can't feel anything with a fingernail. It is the only cylinder that has those vertical marks. Not sure what caused it but I will be getting a dingle berry honing thing and re- honing the block.

On this point, was there any damage to the hot side turbines?
