hey i get my G35 delivered this week and i'm new to car performance upgrades; why did you decide to get a supercharger as opposed to a twinturbo kit

probably cost to performance ratio....S/Cer with intercooler is $4300...TT kit is near 7 large.....

you said it, after dumping about 16 grand into my car, I have no more money for her after this!............but for a car I've spent a total of $44,000 on, its pretty nice and hard to find another one like it for the same money.......

how much of a power diff is it really compared to turbo? in terms of streetability, how does it drive? Has anyone ran with a turbo Z to compare? And lastly, (stupid question) but can a BOV be used with a S/C to get that cool sound? I know it's pointless but it'd be kinda funny

At the same PSI, the TT set-ups might make a little more power, but their real advantage lies in being able to turn up the boost at will. Can be dangerous though. I don't thing anyone has to worry about streetability with the basic kits...maybe when you're making well over 500whp would you have to worry about streetability. The S/Ced car will have a more linear powerband than the turbo car if that helps at all.

As for the BOV...the votech kit COMES WITH ONE. People use BOVs on Centrifugal S/Ced cars all the time. You need one or a bypass valve for the same reason you need on on a turbo car.

Power and torque come in a little earlier with the TT kit. Power with the Supercharger (centrifugal) comes from increased rpm's...more rpm= more boost.
