People may disagree with me, but I lower my toyo's to 26# when I drag race. (19X275)
It looks like you are losing tons of traction in first gear. It appears you may end up having low traps like I do. (14.1/97mph).

I'll have to try that some time. I'm going to run on my slicks next time, though, to eliminate traction issues from the equation!

I'm a few thousands away from 1.8 60' times on street tires, but I'm only laying down 350rwhp.

Is it normal that my 1/4 times got way worse due to traction issues? At this boost with the stock trans, I was putting down 525. I'm thinking it may be over 575 or 600 WHP with the new transmission and I was running on stock tires (*edit street tires) with 35 PSI. I was running like 14.1 at 97mph with a 60' of about 2.5-2.9.
97 mph with 500+ whp? That's not possible. The 14.1 is certainly possible with a horrible launch but not 97 mph. Something is wrong. Unless you spin every single gear... Coachk, what do you think?

Definitely tire spin and alot of it....

14.1 @ 97 is on par for an N/A car, so he either drives like a grandma or tire spin. With his power he should definitely be on D/R's or slicks.

The bolt-on Z was just a bit behind me and he said I spun the whole way. I have a hard time telling, but I think that was the case. I'll have it on the dyno in a week or so again and I'll see where it stands with the new trans.

RC and Coach, thanks for all the feedback throughout this ordeal. You guys are awesome!

Had my valvebody done about 3 years ago (15,000 miles), tranny was brand-spanking new so ever since mile #1 it's had the SGP valvebody done on it. Stock torque converter.

I'm running the ProCharger, about 350whp and chirp 3rd everytime. It's a little soft under 2500RPMs, and sometimes seems to "jerk" in first or have a slow shift going from 4-5 if you are in MM and shift it wrong. Other then that the first shift after I start is breaks your neck!

I agree on the traction, the tranny seems solid as a rock and each shift at redline is violent as hell and then the rear end swings out!

Ok guys just had my Transgo kit installed, i have some questions. First is this kit suppose to shift faster only on 'D' mode or in manual? I only feel the difference in D drive not so much in Manual??? could it be something installed wrong? I mean when i punch it and am in D drive it pulls like like crazy and shifts hard. Now in Manual it feels the same but i always hit redline !!

Fabre, you said u hit redline after u manually shift? Ia that for every gear or just first? I can see that getting annoying after a while if that was each gear always hitting redline

It was a transmission specialist that my mechanic recommended, the guy actually said he had done the install before. Is like when am driving it feels like 1st is in clutch mode and them in picks up, once i floor it it shifts really hard and firm.

Line pressure is modulated by input torque, temperature etc. One thing I would check personally is that the fluid level is accurate. You need to follow the procedure in the service manual (available online for download if you don't have it).
