I was looking at the bfgoodrich , but I kinda want to keep my stock 17's and the only ones that fit are not as wide as stock tires . You got that size on the 8inch wide wheel ? recomended wheel width is 9 to 10 inch for that size

oh they fit, they dont recommend it though so use at your discretion. ive had them on for about 4 months and 5000miles now without a hitch.

my .02 if you want a DR dont get the nittos they suck. they will last longer but perform very poorly compared to the bfgs or mickey thompsons. and the bfgs are very cheap i got mine for about 160 ea.

it is very difficult to burn out with them i am n/a but ive got some decent power and i have to launch at 5000 rpm+ to get them to burn out, otherwise anything lower will just squeal and hook. excellent tires for racing

What psi are running them when at the track ? I may just go with them even if they are 10mm narrower

about 15psi at the track, what sizes do they make for 17's a 255 would work very nicely on the 8" rim.

compared to other drag radials they plain suck, but they last longer. the nittos will outperform regular street tires though. keep in mind also that the nittos are notorious for creasing on the sidewalls which basically means you need a new tire.
oh and btw they are more expensive

Well I think Im going with the Mickey Thompson ET street Radials..275/40-17 they suggest a 9 inch rim but , doing a search I noticed some guys are running wider tires than suggested with no problems

are your tires 8" wide? i would not recommend exceeding 265 bc even that is pushing it. a lot of the guys running 275 on stock are the track models which have a 8.5" rear, just be careful whatever you do bc if you take a turn hard with too big of a tire the tire could jump off the rim, also if you squeeze too large of a tire on a small rim you will get a smaller contact patch bc the edges will curl up rather than stay flat.
