Just wondering why vendors aren't showing the two options there are (catless, with cat)?
Yeah I was wondering that, and if you can ask I think we would be grateful MIAPLAYA also sorry about the crash but glad you are ok

This is a excellent thread, and look forward to any more information you or Brad can give us.

Oh and also the vendors mention the injectors and flash but not the upgraded fuel pump

I did not unfortunately get to test the turbo system. And thank you everyone for your kind words. The fuel pump was added to the kit after the info got sent to the vendors I believe but is part of the kit.

Hey Mia, regarding the fuel system included with the Turbonetics. Are you certain they arent using a Walbro 190 instead? The reason I ask is that the 255 puts base fuel presssure at over 70psi at idle. And even with a modified fuel pressure reg in tank, to replace the stocker, I would think you would still experience dropping fuel pressure as boost and RPM increase.

Either way, its probably a suitable setup for 400whp, but beyond that, I would be looking for a full return system.

And correction, APS does have a return system with their kit....its just that the return is right there at the tank. The AAM and CJ full return systems are the best solutions out there. Full return system, with rising rate FPR, which is crticial for reliable F/I. Without a rising rate FPR, the the pressure at the nozel will ALWAYS be dropping as boost increases...not the right way to go.

So sorry to hear about your car bro. I can't believe the timing of this! Whereabouts did this happen? I'm taking a trip down that way myself later today and I'd like to know where I'll need even more attention.

As you stated, and we all know, all that matters is that you are 100% intact and ok. The car time & money can fix (hopefully insurance money, and less time).

I had one intersting spin out, about 10 years ago in my 442, first time on a super wet highway with "dry ONLY" tires.

I'd never want to try that again.

Best of luck with the car!

I thought this happened down south.

Yea, I can believe it, I go that route a lot 118W, 23, 101.....

There is a lot of water to collect out there with the mountains, and like you said "california highway design".

It wasn't quite like that.... Like I said before no blame to anyone. Lets just say my Z wasn't the only car to spin out at the same EXACT spot on the off ramp. And again I'm just glad that no one was hurt in all of this.... A car can be fixed or replaced...people can't. I'll have so more info for all of you tomorrow.

one question...if you are wanting to get cams such as the Tomei cams...which cams would you go with...I have seen people going with the 264 tomei cams...is this the best degree setting for turbo or not...

Miaplaya what kind a clutch are you going with?

I may go with the clutch and the rear end gears and no cams.

The 264s should be ok. I'm not sure what durationt the JWT cams are but many motors have repsonded well to this cam profile with forced induction. As for clutch and flywheel I'm running stock for now. Plan to go with either a JWT clutch fly or JWT clutch and Jun fly...

If you are going to run bigger injectors I would think about using an emanage to tune for it. I believe the only reflash controlled size injectors are 380 CCs.

MIAPLAYA,

Sorry about your unfortunate accident. Hope everything gets better and you get your car back running.

On another note, one of our customer just purchased this kit. I'll post about my review on here soon. We have done Vortech, HKS, Greddy and APS. So this would be a good comparison.

Muchos gracias por su palabras simpatico. I'm just glad its just the car and not people that got hurt. This morning on my way to work I saw at least three accidents in the first 20 minutes. At least one had someone leaving on a stretcher. This could have been much worse and I'm glad its not. Oh and webcarconnection what is that you say down there "Todo bien" I'm sure it will all get worked out..

Which flywheel are you actually talking about, I can tell you that you do NOT want to go with the JWT lightened flywheel.

I had that put on with a Nismo clutch, I was told at the time the car should hold 350HP at the FW/clutch.

It didn't get close, this was on a setup that had 10K miles, some hard, mostly easy/moderate.

All I can tell you FROM EXPERIENCE the stock clutch/fw took about 12K excruciating miles, 4 track days, and 1/2 drift day and it looked better than the nismo and the jwt.

One of the problems, that I was NOT advised about, is that with a lightened flywheel, as it has lesst material, is going to transfer MORE heat ALL of the time.

So you are going to go through ANY clutch faster, even under "normal" conditions.

Actually the stock FW looked "great" it had very nice even wear and was essentially "nicely broken in" and the stock cluth had wear, but it did not appear abused and again, I CAN TELL YOU IT WAS ABUSED.

This is a credit to Nissan for doing that portion of the drive train VERY WELL.

Also, I believe that APS is still running the stock clutch & FW and they are running more HP than I am. I believe with their setup and 94 octane fuel, they are pushing something over 425(? [don't quote/bash me on this, check it out if you want])

the nismo clutch itself, may be OK, but with the impact of the JWT lightened FW, it couldn't take the HP.

To summarize, I was greatly dissapointed in the JWT, I can't give you honest feedback from the nismo as it was probably compromised by the JWT.

The JWT is a great NA 300isHP mod due to the Quicker revs & acceleration.

I can also recomend the RPS product in regards to gripping power, I am having a problem with my setup, but RPS has completely taken care of me, so I am still supportive of the product and it was NOT related to the clutch/FW itself, but something with the starter rings on the FW not matching up with my starter or some odd-ball thing. Again, RPS is taking care of it and Brainstorm is also being VERY suportive as well.

I have been strongly recommened by the people I trust to the latest and greatest from Centerforce.

I wanted to go with them initially but they couldn't deliver my product in my time frame, and as I don't want to pay again for my equipment/install, I'm fixing the RPS situation.
