Default Testpipes do add power!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Just took my Helix TP off cause I hated the rasp, but now I'm seriously missing the topend those things addd My car feels ALOT slower from 5,500rpms to redline

When I 1st put the TP on, I didn't feel much difference, but now it is very evident to me... By far the best bolton bang for buck mod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just thought I'd let you guys know, since many people debate on getting them...

I'd say, if you can handle the rasp, then go for it... if you are very picky like me, stay away from testpipes

BTW- anyone want mine? $100...pm me

How can you prove it without dyno charts or going to the track? The added power might be psychological with the rasp. I don't mean to be a pessimist but there are lot's of mods that make too many claims. Some of them just move hp in a different spectrum of the RPM.

I forgot to mention that I definately restored the low end torque that goes bye bye when you delete the cats... but the higher RPMS (<--only RPMS that matter while racing ) definately suffer....

^so yeah only the last 1000 feel slower... but when you're in 3rd or 4th gear on the freeway it makes a big difference.. it seems like it takes ALOT longer to get to redline

naw, you don't understand. die die's z is very new, like a new girlfriend: when you first get them, you're all careful and polite and shzit; then, after awhile, you get kinda bored with them and wanna start doing freaky shzit to them (god, that's a major freudian slip). i predict die die will have resonated pipes or hf cats strapped on his bzitch within 6 mos (and on his z, too).

^key words in bold I seriously HATE rasp I don;t want any of it... I've PMed like 30 people on here to get opinions on their HF cats/resonated TP to see if they rasp... along with searching through every cat thread....Now I'm even afraid to buy crawford cats, cause some people say there is a lil rasp every once in a while

Matt you're probably right, cause I miss that topend!! Hopfully I can find some that don't have any rasp tho (oh and more like 6 weeks max )

i dont notice any rasp with my kinetix resonated test pipes. then again i know there are some people that say they notice a faint bit of rasp with them, which is why i said "pretty much none". you should try and find someone local with the kinetix resonated pipes and listen to them so you can see if you like them or not.

^ yeah I'm pretty sure ZBOY said he still gets a tiny bit of rasp with the resonated ones..thats why he's getting crawford I think... IMO go crawford or keep stock on the cats if you are picky like me

you could always just turbo charge your z, which (i believe) eliminates the rasp
