Default Nismo exhaust install

If I put the car up on jackstands in the garage can I install the Nismo exhaust myself? Or, does it need to be up on a lift?

Don't forget to spray silicone on the hangers. It helps a LOT to take the exhaust off.

And be sure NOT to hit the carbon shaft !

the wd will be safe... and you can do this in your garage.. just lay down a big cloth so that you can sit the exhaust on top of it instead of dragging it into place... but if you have buddy who has a lift then why not? :P

Jack stands work fine. Here's a piece of unsolicited advice-use lock washers (not supplied) on the bolts that connect the rear of the y-pipe to the rest of the exhaust. After 2k, (and KNOWING I torqued the bolts to spec) I completely lost one connecting bolt and had the gasket hanging from the remaining bolt. The supplied nuts are textured on the rear surface but, apparently, that wasn't enough to keep mine tight. It was an easy job to reinsert the gasket, replace the lost bolt, and add the lock washers-10 minutes maybe-but had I installed them initially I would not have had the problem. 2k later, no problem. BTY, this is an easy and fun exhaust to install. I really like mine.
