Basically we presented you with our honest truth. If that is not what you wanted then you shouldn't have come here.
1 - Our opinion is that we built a great new exhaust system. Based on many people on this board and the G35Driver board who have not only seen and heard it in person, but on the videos as well - we have gotten a HUGE consensus that agrees with us.
2 - Fast Intentions is a new company - yes - the owners, as I have stated MANY times, worked for one of the most respected Z exhaust shops in the industry - LaBree Motorsports - they were the lead engineers of those products and went out on their own - these are not NEW people - just a new company name. They have built some of the most trusted products out there as well for the last 5 years and continue to do so. Charging an appropriate amount of money for a product is based on craftsmanship, quality and customer service, not to mention fair market price - not how new your business is.
3 - We completely understand people being skeptical of performance claims, I've said this before. We have had people offer to do independent Dynos on our test car to verify it's HP, etc...but in the end, those people have not stepped up to actually follow through. To stay honest as we have - we've actually called this forums bluff on your requests several times...but nobody steps up.
The owner of the test car has made repeated offers to get with people if they want to hear and see the system, etc...and you guys don't.
It's OK with us if you don't..really. I just think, and know from PM's and other discussion, that there are many of you out there that do want this system. Some think it is expensive - and at the retail prices, it is a premium product...well thats what the group buy is all about, an these prices wont come around again.
I have no problem with honest truth and criticism. Price criticism is hard for anyone to deal with because Free is always the best price and for some that isn't cheap enough.
The criticism I have a problem with is when we're challenged about our findings and then nobody wants to actually step up to the challenge...those are empty flames in my opinion.

It kinda confused me LOL! Anyway, I'm not suggesting you drop your drawers on the price but true market is 900-1500. With the average person spending aroud 1100$. Borla being on of the most trusted brands is at that 900$ mark. Its hard to swallow your price without the group buy. If you price were around that mark I would be looking at your product. Just my opinion. I am sorry if I keep giving you grief, just wanted you to understand where I was coming from. By the way is there enough people that have signed up to make the price 900+ mark yet? I think was that you needed 18+ people. Just curious.
Regarding the number of sign-ups...kind of a funny response for you all...nobody has signed up and everybody has given me the same response you just did.
Heres a hint - if everyone who has PM'd me about this question and everyone who has posted the question actually just signed up - you'd all be there!
hmmmmm.......
Rick
I have a question, just a question.
How much engineering do most people put into their products? Is it seat of the pants engineering, or is it true engineering with testing to back up what you already know?
Just something to think about when one reads a thread.

I agree with the others, I think the price point of Fast Intentions exhaust is pretty high. Especially when you consider you can purchase the Magnaflow X-pipe all by itself for about $100 RETAIL. Does mandrel bent pipes, 2 mufflers and etc. justify another $800? Maybe it does and I'm completely off the mark...

Well...
knicksinny has just bought in on the group buy.
He wont be sorry or kicking himself when he gets his system, he'll save $400!
Thanks for your support!

If you package it all up - test it all - and yes do the R&D and get the result we have - it is worth it.
Considering every other exhaust fits the cost profile you put up there...why EVER buy and aftermarket exhaust? You should always build you own, right?
What exhaust do you have now? With so many choices out there - they will tailor to everyones taste and affordability. Many people who mod their cars put 2-3 exhausts on their cars before finally giving up and just settling on one, whether they like it or not. It's OK to wait and hear someone else's and pay full price later...it really is.

Which would plainly show you that it's not seat of the pants engineering. Our dyno's back it up as well. Testimonials from our first customers also show the product does what it claims.
All I can say is to those that are considering, on the fence, or have already purchased, thanks for your support!

Rick,
My big concern is the drone. With the fast intentions cat back do you claim that there will be no drone, regardless of items upstream (headers, high flow cats, test pipes, etc)? I'd like to open up the entire exhaust but I CANNOT deal with drone. I've had it on other vehicles nad I hate it. Thanks for the help.

NOW - with that said - the system is loud with the mods when you open it up - you do hear the exhaust in the car - but it does not drone and vibrate your brains loose nor the inside of your car - it is not drone. It is also not THAT loud - it is just more noticeable because the exhaust note itself is louder.

Wish we could though...it's not really a modded version of what we're doing - it's a completely different version.

Drone can be really bad and sometimes not so bad, or not at all. Some exhaust systems can be heard in the car, but that is not drone. Drone literally can be felt as if you had a couple of 10" or 12" woofers playing a real deep base note at a specific RPM range every time you hit the gas or cruised at that range.
Most drone is felt in the range of 1800-3800 RPM - somewhere in that range. IT can be for 500 RPM, more, etc. high quality mufflers, combined with proper sized tubing, limited bends (high efficiency in path), is how you minimize or eliminate drone in a system. The mufflers must be designed to absorb and rebound the exhaust pulses properly for each engine type to effectively handle this.
That's why when you change the cars dynamic, you can introduce drone where it didn't exist before, unless the system has been designed to handle certain changes in certain magnitudes for compensation.
Hope that helps...
